    HELTER SKELTER! :D:D:D

Ever read Revolution in the head?

It's an amazing book of excellent detail on every Beatles song...with some bizarre opinion bits that frankly pìssed me right off.

I seem to remember Helter Skelter being described as an "embarrasing" effort to sound like rock.

I think we are only in June 1990 with the TOTP repeats, they have gone out of sequence with the real time calendar. Still some distance left to run.

    Yep, I got it :)

I find myself going back to it now and again whenever I hear the Moptopsche on the radio. He even criticises ‘Here There And Everywhere’ and ‘In My Life’!

    Boo-urns!

This has been really excellent so far - very much focussed on the war.

Great info there as usual. Thanks for that!

Whether you care for dermot Kennedy or not, he’s still quite a big world star. Baffling that other voices is shown at 1am. I see “Ireland in music” is shown at 8pm, interested to know the differences..

Have a copy of that, must watch it soon

Enjoyed Ireland in Music on RTE tonight, a little bit too hipster for my liking but enjoyable

More than likely a DVD of a concert for new years eve, the BBC NYE countdown always had a fairly good line up (Had Queen and Adam Lambert a few years back) but i douibt this year will be a live concert, never know though

Another documentary im on the lookout for is 'Hey Dey The Mic Christopher story'. Such a tragic story that shows how fast life can come to an end

It's not a really a music documentary but very impressive.

Just caught the end of Metallica at Glasto. I'm still trying to get my head around how big that band became. They were an underground Thrash metal band albeit everyone's favorite Thrash metal band but they became a household name.

They supported Metallica about 15 years ago in the RDS and I payed zero attention which in hindsight was a bit of a stupid move as they clearly had something going on.

Just watching the bee gees documentary in our own time.. Thought it was far superior to the recent flashy big budget one shown on sky documentaries.. Anyone agree..or care

How's BM? I knew that clip was in it. Was it the whole song or just a bit?

I was down home at the weekend and the brother was expecting his copy Friday but it never came. I brought the laptop to save me the bother of backing my own one up when it comes.

I ended up watching the LLS "Country" special with my mother who thinks the sun shines out of Tubbs's ar$e. She thinks he's much nicer to women than GB or PK were. He'll make president yet.

I haven't your phone number. send me a text if you still have mine. or PM. We'll have a chat over xmas

I'm really sorry - I either didn't see this or forgot to reply!! :o I've PM'd you my my number, so give me a shout any time. We probably (and by probably I mean definitely) won't be talking about Tubridy or that LLS Country "music" sh*te though.... :D: pac:

Really enjoyed Scream for Me Sarajevo...Love Dickenson's music but not a fan of listening to him so I'm glad his part was small. The passion and the pain of the other people was allowed to shine through which made it all the more enjoyable. It's a conflict I must study in more detail but I know precious little

Thoroughly enjoyed the Slipknot show, my parents less so

Exactly...say what you want about her dubious business decisions (re-recording early Ozzy albums just to avoid paying royalties to past band members) but she definitely kept him alive.
