Tracy Ackerman from that Massivo cover of Loving You seems to have had a bit of a minor career - good voice alright - provided backing vocals to a certain Gary Numan but likely in his 90's releases.

I thought some of the 88/89 shows were approaching crimes against humanity but this weeks offerings aren't far off.

Soup Dragons at least saving some dignity.

Last dance era Roses tune - it's really badly produced but it's a great song.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,108 ✭✭✭Hangdogroad

    The Rose's at their peak.

The Jewish Elvis could ditch the standup routine

Maybe Partridge was right about The Very Best Of...but at least it's not muffled. Definitely the end of an era for that band who probably felt they had to move on.

    Wow
That girl in The River City.

Michelle Phillips just has some competition in being the best looking lady ever to sing California Dreamin

Decent looking documentary starting shortly on Sky Arts about the alternative scene in 1980’s Glasgow :)

Hopefully, they’ll find a way to shoehorn Orange Juice in there :D

Fingers crossed, Teenage Fanclub’s tour will go ahead this year - got my ticket booked :)

I already predict I will go mental when they play anything from ‘Bandwagonesque’!

The Jesus And Mary Chain gig posters warning that they might only do 15 minutes!

Might have been the inspiration for Limmy's very short smash hit

Oh Yeah indeed. Enjoyed the doc. Teenage Fanclub one of my favourite ever bands. Sadly they won’t be the same without Gerry. Great level headed attitude they have too. Got talking to Norman when he played here a few years ago in Whelans with Joe Pernice. Absolutely sound and lovely guy. Even got a phot taken with him and Joe. I had never heard of Joe Pernice before the gig, went and bought most of the Pernice Brothers albums afterwards. They have some mighty tunes. Check out There Goes The Sun, or Weakest Shade of Blue for starters.
