Why did the neighbour's underpants go on fire?

Not recording TOTP anymore due to the overwhelming crap:decent ratio and pressure on DVR space, but if tonight's PiL was "Don't Ask Me" it's unfortunately very very far from their best. The compilation album released at that time is otherwise decent.

Sadly most of what I remember form the Rats is the immense vitriol they got from wânkers writing in the likes of the Herald in their latter years.

When Live Aid happened I thought they'd broken up and reunited... it was like Official Ireland had imposed a total media blackout over here.

Although my dad did use a Geldof appearance on the Late Late Show (there might have even been a swear word) in 78-79 as an excuse to harrumph "I'm off to the pub" not that he ever needed an excuse!

Looks like it wasn’t just Ireland - the ‘inkies’ such as NME and Melody Maker would coat them down frequently, as they were seen as ‘selling out’ punk to the mainstream...appearing on TOTP when the likes of the Pistols and The Clash refused, for example.

BTW, I’m curious to know where in Dublin (assuming it is Dublin) those shots in the documentary were filmed (the tunnel where the masked guy was dragging the stones) - Baggot Street? Grand Canal somewhere?

    Anyone know?

10cc had a number one with Rubber Bullets, but news this week that Lemmy had his ashes encased in Golden Bullets and sent out to his buddies.

Sort clip here of the Lisdoonvarna Festival in 1979 which looks like a place to visit when that Time Machine is built

Finally, the Most Animated Appearance By Keith Moon Of The Week might be this one in The Simpson (Sky1 Friday 5pm). Homer and Marge speaking German there, fair play.

Just won't be the same without Mel Smith.

For the quiz, I was going to guess The Nolans :pac:

EMF! Pretty sure this song was used as an intro to an episode of Family (Roddy Doyle) in the mid 90's on BBC. Worth a watch... very grim but well acted.
