Why have they suddenly decided to show Primal Scream’s Glastonbury set?

    Oh wait, it’s ‘Brown Sugar’.

Thank you, I’m here all week!

Only getting around now to watching Kendrick Lamar’s Glastonbury set - some real toe-tappers (as the kids say nowadays).

Must say I was also highly impressed by Bicep.

Only ever heard ‘Glue’, as it’s played on BBC6 Music all the time.

He/She/Them get the meaty WM double thumbs-up. :)

Not bbc related, but music on the telly related.

I watched most of The Main Stage on rte on Friday at 9.30. It’s a top of the pops style show featuring Irish only acts. While I’m not bothered with every one of the acts, it was great to see Irish acts playing live (pre recorded show) at a prime time listing of 9.30pm (other voices, 1.30am wtf). Have said for the last few years that Irish acts really lack a platform to promote themselves on both tv and radio, so hopefully this gets them more exposure.

downside was the cringe of watching the audience dancing who didn’t really want to be dancing 😆. Could easily be an other voices sit down style set up, but there ya go.

Good to see that kind of show being mad. I wanted to like it but the cover of Stevie Nicks Edge of Seventeen was a bit karaoke.

But hopefully there are more hits than misses going forwards.

After double TappityPappity tonight, things go De-Peshay on BBC Four (RIP Andy Fletcher)!

9pm Depeche Mode At The BBC

10pm Depeche Mode live in Glasgow from the 2017 BBC 6Music festival.

11pm Synth Britannia (one of the best documentaries BBC Four have ever made).

    :)

It’s not an eclectic chart mix with authentic 90s vibes?

Jamiroquai - it's moments like this I wish my tv had a less than zero volume setting

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,549 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Feels too late for Cliff Richard and too early for Jamiroquai, era wise.

Don’t know if Ol’ Donie is a fan of Depeche or not, but I couldn’t help noticing that Martin Gore is a fan of the Ol’ Gretsch…
