    Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

    Herbie is playing the NCH in a month which he's sold out. I toyed with the idea of a ticket earlier in the year but too late now. For someone who has been maligned in some jazz quarters over the years not bad eh.

    That's should carry a health warning WM - it includes a performance by Kiss. The worst rock band of all time. Worse than Winger or Stryper. One of my mates is a fanatic and went to see them in Berlin recently. We don't talk that much more anyway.
