How do?, BBC4 has a new series which seems to be just some musicians picking their favourite songs and telling you why they like them, although sometimes that kind of thing can be well done. They also have a programme about Grime (the "music", not the dirt)

Sky has mostly Soul and TG4 has lots of Trad and a repeat of a show where they look at the roots of Johnny Maher and Stephen Patrick Morrissey. Not a huge surprise to learn they might have Irish Blood, to be fair ...

Not sure where Nile Rodgers has got to this week, he'll probably pop up somewhere
So that's about that, if you see anything else please let us know (especially on that freesat channel)

The Best chance of hearing a clip of the instrumental part The Chain by Fleetwood Mac of the week other than the Fleetwood Mac Video Killed The Radio Star episode on Friday on Sky Arts might be in Murray Walker: A Life in The Fast Lane (BBC2, Saturday 7pm). Because that was the theme music for the BBC Grand Prix coverage for years. Murray chose it as one of his Desert Island Discs https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03xzx62

I'm extremely jealous. When I'm not a carer anymore I'm gonna spend the rest of my life living my unspent youth going to as many gigs and festivals as I can. Providing those I want to see don't shuffle off first.

    8.30pm Junior Eurovision (TG4) New!

Sounds like a revival of the Mini-Pops. What could possibly go wrong (now then, now then, now then)
Not sure where Nile Rodgers has got to this week, he'll probably pop up somewhere

    No doubt :pac:

The Roman Catholic Church is beyond despicable, it laughs at us as we pay for its crimes. It cares not a jot for the lives it has ruined.

The name might have been to avoid confusion with Yazoo, who are known as Yaz in the US for legal reasons.

I finally caught the Urban Myths show about Band Aid - I really enjoyed it! :D Now, clearly, a lot of it is either made up and/or embellishing the real story but it was obviously based on real events..........albeit very loosely.

Was there ever any decent documentary or book written about what happened behind on the scenes on the day itself? It would definitely be worth a look/read if there is!

There's a three hour epic that is well worth a look (hasn't been on BBC4 in ages). The first part is about the build up, the second part is on the day itself.

Must give it another look myself, I really enjoyed it.

When Bob announces the line up for the concert, he was just making it up and some of the bands announced hadn't spoke in years and were bemused to hear they were involved in Bob's new shindig!
