If they split the money spent on DWTS 5 ways and did a series on 5 genres of music it would be great. But the plebs want the sh1t they're fed.

Never knew Siouxsie covered this...not a patch on the original, though.

Went doing a bit of research on Waltzing Matilda earlier and found this.

    Eric Bogle is the man.

apparently Edwards original bass line was a bit dull until Nile told him how to make it better - thank god for that! It's just a shame Nile could play guitar and bass at the same time...

'Everybody Dance" has a much better bassline imho.

Is it just me or is Eric singing a different song to what the guitarist is playing??

When I watched it, I thought he got confused and song the wrong song instead of this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcH7pBDvdYc

Certainly the melody the guitarist is playing anyway.... :pac:

Hello, did you know that this Saturday is Australia Day? Well, someone in Sky Arts does and they are using it as an excuse to show a documentary about the Go Betweens and a TV Mini Series about the Easy Beats. And show lots of repeats of Australian Concerts. Sure why not?

BBC2NI are having none of that and instead have some Robbie Burns thing on. Ayr United are known as the Honest Men after one of his poems, which is a bit of a lame nickname. They got knocked out of the Scottish Cup by a non league team this weekend, but at least they are honest. Anyway, I digress ...

Janice Long and John Peel present the February 5 edition, featuring the Blow Monkeys, Randy Crawford, the Smiths, Curiosity Killed the Cat, Michael Crawford, and Aretha Franklin and George Michael. Randy Crawford and Michael Crawford are not related, apparently. I think this is John Peel's final appearance.

Contributors include Duane Eddy, Roger McGuinn, the Edge, Bonnie Raitt, Seasick Steve, KT Tunstall, Joe Bonamassa, Uli Jon Roth, Vernon Reid, Heart's Nancy Wilson, the Runaways' Lita Ford and producer Shel Talmy. A lot of repeat performances on the show which were on last week.

I know they skip weeks that Mike Smith presented, but the 30 minute format doesn't give them as much scope as the older 45 minutes shows to throw some oddities in.

Bit awkward whenever the Wham! crew met up again.
