    9pm Score: Cinema's Greatest Soundtracks (BBC4) New!
Elite Hollywood composers including Hans Zimmer, James Cameron, Danny Elfman, John Williams, Quincy Jones and Trent Reznor combine to give a privileged look inside the musical challenges and creative secrecy of the world's most international music genre - the film score.

Surely Hans Zimmer’s finest hour... :D

Found out recently enough that Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo) does a lot of film score work, wonder if he'll be on it...

The Roman Catholic Church is beyond despicable, it laughs at us as we pay for its crimes. It cares not a jot for the lives it has ruined.

The real reason The Smiths split up...they couldn’t top the epic majesty of Hoddle and Waddle’s ‘Diamond Lights’.

    True fact.

They must have threatened Gary Davies with the sack if he didn't mention it was live at least 17 times in the show.

Godlike rugged manliness with a voice of the angels, carved from Welsh valley stone.

But enough about me, that Tom Jones chap was alright.

John Motson says, ‘the boy Hoddle performed with power and passion, but was let down by Waddle’s lack of energy.’

BBC News earlier had a horse called Tom Jones dressed up like a Zebra.

The Reporter said Its not unusual, Tom is always dressed like that as researchers want to know why zebras have stripes. It might be because insects don't like stripes.

    I might have dreamt this.

Terence, the song is called "If you let me stay" but at the start you're asking your girlfriend not to walk out the door.

Is she kicking you out or walking out on you, eh?

    Awww !
    R.I.P. to my favourite Monkee.
I'm feeling old and feeling like music is slowly dying out. Someone please tell me I'm wrong and that I'm just too old to appreciate the current sounds.

Feck it! I feel like a right sap but after playing that video I've gone and got something in my eye and a lump in my throat. I need to go somewhere private and deal with them.

My wife once threatened to leave me because of my obsession with the Monkees.

I didn't believe her. Then I saw her face.

Completely off topic, but that reminds me of this (might be a bit long winded, but bear with me:

A horse and a donkey meet In a bar and join each other for a pint.

"So, what do you do ?" The donkey asks the horse

"Well" says the horse, " In the winter I race over the jumps, and in the summer I race on the flat."

"Really, have you ever won anything?" The donkey asks.

"Well, yeah, I've won the Grand National, the Derby and the Gold Cup ". Says the horse. And how about yourself, what do you do ?"

" Well" the donkey says " in the summer I work on the beach with the kids."

Anyway, the pair arrange to meet at the donkeys house the following week, and the donkey thinks to himself, "Jesus, I really need to impress this guy, he's done loads."

So he goes out and buys a big picture of a zebra and hangs in prominently in the sitting room. The horse comes over, and one of the first things he notices is the picture. "That's a nice picture" he says. "Who is it ?"

"Oh, that's me" says the donkey.........

    "When I played for Juventus"

Really like that doc on bbc4 on Dr Dre and Jimmy iovine though the day after the 1st 2 shows on BBC I found it on Netflix but couldn't watch it coz there's feck all else on at 10 on a Friday night. Another good hip hop/rap doc on Netflix is Hip hop evolution. The history of hip hop/rap from its start in new York to now
