I've always had the memory that pop music went to shyte for me near the end of 86.

Thank f**k for The Smiths, Jesus And Mary Chain, Pixies and Sonic Youth, they made the late 80s bearable.

The Roman Catholic Church is beyond despicable, it laughs at us as we pay for its crimes. It cares not a jot for the lives it has ruined.

I can see this song becoming quite a big hit, especially if they use it in a film.

This TOTP back and forward between London and Los Angeles had been done before.

Brian Epstein used to present a slot on NBC's Hullaballoo show in 1965 , where he introduced acts performing in London. Handy way to plug his own artists in America.

Probably my favourite music documentary series that was on last year and I'm not even a drummer. It covered all styles.

Hello, it's that time of the week again. That Eurovision lark takes up a lot of airtime this weekend and it's mostly just repeats elsewhere. On Sunday BBC2NI go to America to discover the roots of blues while minutes later TG4 go to Morocco to discover the roots of the blues. Suspiciously similar write ups for those shows, but it's nice work if you can get it.

I am not overly familiar with Moroccan Blues, but I can inform you that Morocco came 18th out of 19 entries in their only Eurovision entry in 1980 and haven't returned since. Still better than the UK have done recently ...
