Spent the last few days holidayizing in Portmeirion, always tricky trying to leave the village, etc.

Only found out as I was leaving that Andy Scott’s Sweet The Sweet are playing in the village tonight!

    :(:(

    https://portmeirion.wales/visit/whats-on/the-sweet

I just haven’t got a clue what to do :(

I hear the Pyramid stage has come to a halt and everyone is gathered around televisions looking at this TOTP compilation.

A bit like when Bill Werbeniuk stopped play at the Crucible so he could see his buddy Cliff Thorburn making the first 147 on the other table.

Unrelated to anything on today, but I've finally realised why Slash puts iiii]; )' on the end of every tweet.

I thought he was just really excitable about everything.

I'm curious now, why does Slash put iiii]; )' on the end of every tweet ?

Pal of mine used to think Sheryl Crow was amazing back in the 90s. We gave him plenty of stick for it.

Turns out he had the last laugh, when we all realised he, for years, had way better taste than the rest of us. By miles.

Stormzy had better be performing ‘Brewing Up A Storm’ with Alestorm, whilst being accompanied by Irish dance troupe Celtic Storm.

    Otherwise, it’ll be a proper sh1tstorm.

This line-up seems very meh to me...but i'm sure i say that every year, just cos am officially old now!

Having said that..these guys Idles i'm currently watching do rock it old-style quite a bit. Just no nonsense guitar stuff, thats kinda how i like it.

Going to see Idles in the Iveagh gardens in a couple of weeks....Can't wait.

I remember an advert which went 'If The Only One I Know is the only one you know - you should get Melting Pot: The Charlatans Greatest Hits' which I thought was quite good.

Also Tim Burgess has had a number of books, his second one was called Tim Book Two. Which is a good name for a book.

Only caught The Charlies last song in Dun Laoighaire a few weeks back as ticketmaster now send paperless tickets in banks statement type envelopes and I spent the Sunday afternoon rummaging through stacks of paperwork. Made it out in time for Primal Scream though when they were eventually found.

Was he injured? He's dreadful, it's a pity really as 'Did You Hear The Rain' is so much better than ****e like Shotgun

I ain't got no beef with old Stormy here.

But it's not exactly, like, a band is it?

Fair enough, not saying it's not valid or whatever.

But he is just rapping (griming? Is it?) to somebody doing backing tracks?

I like Stormzy but this just doesn't do it for me. Singing along to a backing track.
