Billy Bragg must be spinning in his grave that he had to share a double A-side with this!

I hope they show his TOTP performance, he clearly didn't know the lyrics and was reading it from notes

Kylie "I've got to be, got to be certain. I've got to be so sure"

Eddi Fairground Attraction "It's got to be-e-e-e-e-e per-er-er-er-fect"

They won't get anywhere in Coppers with that attitude.

Listened to a great podcast today (while I was painting the kitchen) with BB talking about politics, the yoof of today, and That Thing That's Happening Over There That Shall Not Be Mentioned In Polite Conversation.

    Highly recommended.

1.55am The Fall: The Wonderful And Frightening World of Mark E Smith (BBC4)
Documentary exploring the history of the Fall, the enigmatic British post-punk band fronted by Mark E Smith. Emerging from the Manchester punk scene during the late 1970s, the Fall underwent numerous style and line-up changes, with the only persistent member being frontman Smith, whose acerbic wit and biting lyricism became one of the band's few constant trademarks. Featuring footage of the group's last Peel Session, and contributions by Paul Morley, Tony Wilson, Stewart Lee and Franz Ferdinand
It's always good to see The Fall on the telly. Great stuff!

They had a documentary on The Fall a few years ago featuring Mark E Smith being interviewed in (where else) a pub, is that the same programme or is it a new one?

What happened in their last 'upgrade' - the cursor dowsn't go into the search box automatically, and, worse, there are no autocompletes/suggestions - why does everything have to get worse? We're regressing to the stone age :p

I've a friend in Hamburg who has no bother with it. Says he can only get bits and pieces on RTE. Just not worth the hassle.

Surprising lack of Reading/Leeds coverage this weekend on the beeb, unless there is some hot red button action. :)

This is very true, it is almost entirely relegated to the Red Button except for The Foo Fighters on Sunday evening. The Red Button doesn't get proper listings anymore so it's anyone's guess what they are showing. Seems a bit odd, I blame the Proms. Here is the lineup anyway https://www.readingfestival.com/
