Book suggestion on the rise of the Irish economy

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a recent book that explains the Irish economic model and the rise of the Celtic Tiger. I've found few books on Amazon but the reviews don't tell how expert I should be to understand the book. I must mention that I don't have a background in economy, just a curious foreigner who wants to know more about Ireland.

I'd definitely recommend this book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Economy-Ireland-National-Sectoral-Policy/dp/0717149730
It's used in an 'Economy of Ireland' course for second year undergrads in Trinity, but it's not technical and gives an extremely good account of the Irish economy from independence to the present day. I think any interested lay person could understand it, any any bits which aren't understandable wouldn't take much background reading (and you can always ask here).

Just seconding the suggestion of the Economy of Ireland book, I’ve taken the module and studied the book. It explains everything very concisely and clearly and you don’t have to have a substantial understanding of economics to read it.
