Went seriously strong here in Dublin 10. Large wind booms and trees out the back trying to touch their toes!

Shannon Airport controller informing incoming aircraft the wind is gusting to 56 knots

Seriously, a bit scary. Feel like roof going to come off. Defo worse than Ophelia. Worse wind since we moved 10 months ago. I'm a city gal! Not used to this!!

Gust 50 knots at Knock, and this so close to the low centre?

Winds, if anything are decreasing here. :o

Wind suddenly started picking up in wicklow town. Really howling. And worst not due till midnight! Seems to be intensifying rapidly as it crosses the country.

72kph gust recorded at ashford weather station which is a little more inland than me here. On a hill above the town.

Ripping here in south laois/ north Kilkenny. There'll be a lot of damage out of these winds....

Definitely worse than Eleanor here in Limerick. Possibly as strong as Ophelia, judging by the noise and the motion of nearby trees in the street lights outside. Very wild.

Wind still howling here in Galway, definitely sounds worse than yesterday. Serious rain earlier on, lots of flooding on roads. Gone very mild since the front arrived.

Even stronger gusts in N Kildare now

    Edit: power just flashed

Well I'm digging out my torches and battery candles... Have a bad feeling they'll be needed.

Clearly a Galway city/south Galway event. Winds here in the NE of the county struggling to gust above 30 knots. I recorded stronger gusts yesterday and overnight last night than from this. :o

Horrible night in N Kildare but not especially windy, the odd strong gust but generally just a stiff breeze. Driving rain the main feature, really unpleasant to be out in

Very wild now in mid-Limerick, rivalling Ophelia.

It's just started to get really bad here in Clonmel (like, secure-your-bins bad).

Some of the gusts feel as strong as Ophelia. Didn't even know there was a storm was coming.

Was just about to say it's not too bad here and then there was a nice strong gust.
It may have something to do with the alignment of the alley between the semi-d's opposite us and the gap between our semi-d and the next one causing a sort of wind tunnel effect and making it sound worse.

Edit- Neighbour put out the bins and instantly regretted it as it was toppled by the last round of gusts. Getting quieter now.

    Noisy gusts here near Arklow
Weather station is in the house until it’s fixed
Not as wild as Ophelia but it’s rising
