Possible to run kitkat on a marshmallow phone?

Hi, I have an app slingplayer that will only run on android version kitkat. I can currently use it on an old tablet but would like to use it on my note 4 which runs on marshmallow. Anyone know if you can emulate kitkat on a marshmallow phone?
