We all know there are a myriad of Health insurance products out there, and because Insurance companies HAVE to give you any policy you desire (be it corporate or otherwise) they tend to muddy the water by having loads of different policies.

So, it might be useful for us to list the policies and general covers and to ask if anyone else has a better plan at a similar cost. Or a similar plan at a lower cost.

Current plan - Laya Precision 600 connect.

Currently paying - €695.21 per adult and €197.33 per child.

Main Benefits - Semi-Private patient in Public Hospital
Semi private €600 excess per claim for private hospitals
Private €300 excess per night
€175 day case excess

There are other benefits/excesses, but the above are the main ones, but feel free to add other criteria.

Once a plan is suggested they can be compared on the www.hia.ie website for full differences.
