He asks as he heads back out to the others, trying to see can he where the ladder leads to.
"I'm afraid for once BandyLegs, I am also at a lost. I can't read the Elvish that well, which means it is very old, possibly from when I was young, which is a very long time ago. I was bit more, ehm...apolitical back then."

Approaching the ladder it seems it goes down quite far, over a quarter mile before it vanishes into darkness.

The undead falls into a pit that opens beneath him, impaled on spikes.

OOC: I'll get one of you yet!

Bandylegs regards the ladder before turning around and facing Citra again.

'Down, I suppose? Care to lead the way fer once?'

    Bandylegs inspects the ladder closely.

    "Okay, I'll go first."

    She jumps into the darkness.

BandyLegs can tell the ladder is constructed from an incredibly strong mixture of metals. As sturdy as ladders get.

Bandylegs follows Citra down, but decides to use the ladder, slowly and carefully. He checks it for traps as he descends.

I tuck in my potions and follow the crazy peoples

BandyLegs takes the final step off the ladder into complete darkness. He can hear dripping and can clearly see Citra's heat. Although human in shape, she's as hot as a furnace internally as far as he can tell.

Goodie is about half a mile down the ladder when he hears a click.

Bandylegs tries to make out what he can with his infravision.

'What be this place? Why so deep?'

I grab the sides of the ladder with legs and hands and slide

The slide allows Goodie to pick up enough speed to avoid the acid that is released down along the ladder rails. He reaches the bottom and jumps back, safe and sound.

"I don't know, I could return to my real form and cast some flame to get a better look, but I don't know what I may damage that way."

BandyLegs makes out a collection of forty or so heat sources about 40' to their right.

It's a prison chamber of some sort, the iron bars can be seen in the dim light. Most of the heat sources are stones heated for warmth by a single elf kneeling in the dark.

"Come for me again Quadin?" he says curtly.

The undead is still squirming with spikes through his eye socket and left calf.

"My word, by the music of the trees, truly you are great heroes."

    He considers.

"I was captured and brought here so they could extract secrets from me, about a joint work between our races. I never gave it to them of course, I'm under a geasa concerning it."

Ekbard hold the moon necklaces up in the air to see what effects that cause on the chamber.

Goodie and BandyLegs both recognise the harmonised perfection of the song and in it BandyLegs hears traces of the song of stones, though rendered in elven voice and hence losing something. Underneath that tune the elf sings a song of magic and power. As the song continues they harmonise into one.

A magic of stone BandyLegs realises, geomantic power. A fusion of elven natural ability with magic and dwarven mastery of stone.

The symbol of the moon appears all over the chamber and a bright flash fills the chamber and the corridor. Ekbard and his undead are gone when the flash clears.
