NINTENDO LABO'S MOTORBIKE GAME LETS YOU SCAN REAL-LIFE OBJECTS AND TURN THEM INTO IN-GAME TERRAIN

That's pretty cool and you know people are going to use that for all kinds of weirdness.

The overview trailer is brilliant. These things are going to fly off the shelves

Looks like we get it a week later than the States. Released here on April 27th

Every video I've seen has encouraged me more and more to get a kit. My youngest is a real tinkerer and I think this will be right down his street. I'd have got it for his birthday but it's out a month too late, so Santa can give him it.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

The legend claims that Laboman can be summoned by saying "Labo" five times while facing a mirror, whereupon he will slowly kill the summoner with paper cuts. Don't say you haven't been warned.

Shouting "Labo-juice, Labo-juice, Labo-juice" will probably get you arrested

That is one poorly written article with zero effort put in!
What I want to know is how easy would it be to tear the cardboard along the folds...weakest points. Does it hold the switch and joycons securely when it's being played... Don't want a broken switch.

Really just want to see a review of how an 8 year old would very on with it. Guess I'll get done YouTube videos from the US before it gets here.

Btw anyone know any good kid reviewers on YouTube for the switch, my son gets bored of adult reviewers :pac:

It's an article about what it contains in the box. You won't get reviews yet as there's an embargo.

AHH that makes sense so. Any idea when the embargo is lifted?

Reviews should be out tomorrow or Friday. It comes out on 20th April, although it's a week later for Europe.

I don't know if I want to buy it or not, the games pile is so big right now.

    But how's your cardboard pile?

Is the embargo lifted then? Don't see any other reviews

I can see it being fun building it, then playing with it for an hour or 2... and then that's it

I recognised him from The Big Bang Theory. And nothing can be as horrendous as those Rufus Hound Wii U ads.

I stumbled across this by accident and found this thread looking to see if it was posted before (i could not find it)

Free downloadable from the Nintendo Japan website, the official templates of Nintendo Labo toys.
You can print them on your own cardboard.

What size are the Labo sheets ? My guess would be a A3 size which would be great as most houses I'd gather would have an A3 printer or at least access to one..

No idea. I just saw them on twitter while I was looking at something else, and was going to post it in BA.

JAPAN: NINTENDO LABO ONLY SOLD 25% OF ITS INITIAL SHIPMENT

    https://nintendosoup.com/japan-nintendo-labo-only-sold-25-of-its-initial-shipment/

Now that's interesting. Nintendo had big expectations which the sales haven't met. Also, of note was that Switch handheld sales didn't increase for this week(<35,000). Japan was where I thought it would best have a chance to succeed.

A big holiday in Japan next week so I'd say they over shipped somewhat. Personally, I think it'll sell more along the lines of a toy and not be front loaded like traditional game software. More slow and steady.
