Why are his pants falling down?

I think Stormzy is putting on a far more effective performance than Kanye managed at Glasto.

Tame Impala do nowt for me - but funnily enough Pond (half the same band I think?) earlier were excellent

Funny thing is all the ones in the crowd dancing to Stormzy thinking he's great are all white. Where's the diversity?

Thing is , they are not dancing. Just standing there awkwardly.

Yeah that they mostly won't be televising, some Gojira would have been noice.

Lol Tame Impala coming back for an encore no one wanted

Exactly, you can only watch what’s being shown. I think bbc iplayer have lots of different stages? Can’t access it though

    Fairly poor atmosphere.

Not sure most of the audience genuinely know his arms.

Lots of chicken dancing clueless arms no words.

The he says. Scream. The scream

Always one of my tv highlights of the year.
    I’d never actually go though.

    Thought stormzy was excellent myself

I think Glastonbury must be a terrible place to go if you aren't a young trendy sort heavily involved in pop culture, it is basically Englands version of Spring Break, no place for ugly shot men with man tits.

    you couldn't be more wrong.

    why not?

the tv stuff is basically a fraction of what happens there (and in my opinion, probably the worst part of it. the Pyramid and Other stages are mostly tripe). dozens of areas and stages that never get any tv coverage that are far better than anything the BBC provide.

Through a VPN. Cant find the Jon Hopkins set on BBC iPlayer though

Not sure how some folk on here are giving out so much about tame impala. Always put on a cracking show with some fairly epic tunes. Huge crowd at them too....and they all seemed pretty happy with the encore that apparently no one wanted (according to all the 5’s).

He’s playing tomorrow again so may be on the tv show again.
Can’t watch the i player outside of the uk unfortunately.

Storm was great. He has some decent bangers and he was with his slot.

He's DJing tomorrow rather than his live show.

I have BBC iPlayer through a VPN but the Jon Hopkins set isn't there now, was only showed live

I dont get Tame Impala. Very bland pop music. All I heard was a keyboard and high pitched singing. I mean there appeared to be a guitar player in the band.

All very bland and safe and boring but hey, great light show.

Yeah that huge crowd just standing there for most of their set.

They could have played those tunes at the end of their set to finish up.

Do you know how an encore works ?

Some will be scheduled an encore, but that just means they waste some time of their allocation being off stage. Only ever the top two acts, and more recently the legengs slot, that I've ever known to have an encore on the main stage. Once the Glastonbury logo appears on the side screens they are gone and not coming back.

Other stages (not the Other stage) are more flexible with their timings.

My apologies, I thought you were trying to say that the crowd didn’t want them to come back once they’d left the stage.

Yes, they could certainly have just played the last couple of songs at the end of the set, rather than going through the charade of an encore. Unusual to do it at a festival when slots are so tight. We’ll have to agree to disagree on the quality of their music. I’m just a big fan!

Jon Hopkins was amazing! The sound system on west holts is such a monster. Most people I’ve talked to seem to have enjoyed Stormzy, maybe it came across differently on TV. Internet seems better now, I’ll try post some pics. Was anyone else at John Digweed on the glade on Thursday? One of the best sets I’ve ever been at, hilarious crowd of proper old skool ravers at it, I was the youngest by about 20 years.
