Buzzing/humming noise from new sockets with usb

    Had new kitchen sockets installed and recently noticed that the 2 which have usb sockets in them are emitting a slight buzz or static noise. You have to go right close to hear it but it's definitely there.

    Anything to be concerned about?

    More than likely it is the switch mode power supply in the socket cycle skipping, basically turning on / off very quickly when there is no load. Many switch mode supplies do this when there is no load.
