Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

RTE really going all out on the tribute!! They've dedicated shows to people who've had half her success.

He's been in the chair for about two years now since he broke his hip. He hasn't been in great shape since.

I love the way the announcer said Ray will be chatting to Shane McGowan. Interaction with Shane these days isn't exactly chatting:)

He even rushed the deceased off the stage

But he talked to his band! Didn't he? Have a laugh with them?

Yes there was a rapport there that's missing on the LLS. Strange behavior alright, he totally ignores them all night.

    Pathetically bad tribute - insulting.

Might actually go and see that Early Man film.

I love Wallace and Gromit. It's the wrong trousers, Grommit! Ha ha.

Terrible tribute there from RTE, considering how long the show is. One ad break is longer.

She got a lovely tribute at Shane's do the other night.. There was a minute silence and Cerys Mathews did a lovely rendition of "Broad Majestic Shannon"

    G'wan Wales.

well that was a weak tribute.

Remember the Jimmy Magee tribute at 11.40pm. With an audience of guests in.

Super Valu with their Super 7, who do they think they are trying to muscle in on ALDI's Super 6, it's like when your man decided to sell 4 Minute ABS to compete with the lad selling 5 Minute ABS :D

Porridge is a lovely chap. He was on the sports pages review on Off The Ball the other weekend and came across really well too.

I don't know what anyone would base a "he's stuck up his own hole" comment on.

You'd think the show was so full of entertainment that that was all they could manage..

Loads of swinging now to Crazy World.. But if you die you only get 30 secs.

Did you dig the show in the end? I loved it, can't wait to see 'em again, the lunatics.

It was enjoyable for sure, I felt a bit short-changed by the length of it - LOL - but it was still a lot of fun. Drank too much afterwards.

Have they had any hits other than 'Crazy world'?

Christy and Billy should ignore all of Ryan's questions, and just talk about Dolores.

He has a great reputation on tour for being a sound man. Meant to be one of the genuine good guys. He has had huge success, so no harm in being proud of it.

I would like that very much!

and the commentary is also a good idea.

Right, Aslan are on so I'll have a check.

It's not really bubbling away, as such. Meat is all gone brown, which is good. Some of the spuds are sticking out at the top, wonder if that matters.

Gravy (is it called gravy? The sauce in the stew?) looks a bit watery, I'll have to keep an eye on that.

This show could literally be compiled from Pat Shortt's Entertainment from the telly. Stick together interviews and performances from the last 30 yrs. Where's the novelty? We've seen it all before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

It'd be great if they refused to answer any questions until RTE played that Zombie performance in full!

Their debut album was called Feel No Shame and they've felt no shame playing the same song again and again and again.

    And again.

I was. It was kind of last minute. A group of us were to go for a meal with him the previous weekend instead but he was developing a chest infection and decided to stay in and save himself for the big night. I just decided to go a few days beforehand. It was a great night and a credit to the Organiser Gerry O Boyle.

The production team of LLS is absolutely sh*te, always manage to make an absolute balls of time slots and time location of each guest. Couldn’t get it worse if it were done at random by a computer.
