Surely Max wil die rather than just leave? If he is leaving for good that must be what we are heading for. I am sensing a suicide storyline which I hope I am wrong about because I hate when it is used for entertainment.

She's faking it, I get the idea she's trying to get knocked up asap so no one needs to know she made it up to begin with.
