Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fair play to him, although I think his five minutes of fame is up.

Some of the audience were squirming and looked embarrassed to be there.
Bit late for that folks - you're at the Ray Darcy Show FFS! :D

Speaking of which, the bastard computer played CWM on a triple word score against me in Scrabble today.

Apparently it's used in English too, and is a proper big scoring allowable scrabble word

"a steep-sided hollow at the head of a valley or on a mountainside; a cirque."

Interesting. Same thing as a coum as gaeilge

Could someone destroy the generator in RTE and cut their electricity supply when RTE want misery on a Friday or Saturday night?

Are you my Mrs? She knows all those obscure scrabble words

Ah yeah, bit guilty of that although I'm only getting into it recently.

I know some of the strange words that exist and are allowed, very little idea of what they mean.

As a human I feel deep shame at tge one second I saw. For at least twenty reasons.

Dear Aliens, if you are watching and are planning a bit of an Independence Day on us, you have my blessing.

That's the upper echelons of the EPL for you. If you want to attract these fans to your LOI club, it's what you need to start producing.

I was a child and I remember the Kerry babies scandal.

My parents would have my sister and myself watching the news and other current affairs, from the time we were born. No sheltering for us...

Unusual to be discussing this only with Mammy O'Rourke.

Normally they would have a panel of three or so, to give different perspectives.

Not a hope in hell. Doubt a PL club outside the top six would sing something like that. Social media gives the songs a platform.

Yes, except social media goes both ways. People held different views then and Joanne might have suffered even more.

And it's amazing that for such a small country where everybody knows everyone that absolutely nobody knows what happens in a situation like this...

Muppets could be ridiculed off the face of the earth I would imagine. Then again back then they probably would have the power to turn off the internet when anything dodge was going on.

Plenty of senseless things still go on. Also, I don't have detailed knowledge of this case but from what I've read it doesn't sound that ridiculous.
