I know this has been discussed to death but I can’t find an answer.

    1) have led spotlights upstairs which are drafty. I got one of these to have a look

    http://passivehousesystems.co.uk/product/downlight-covers/

    2) how do I know if the lights are fire rated or not

    3) can the transformer on the light be covered with the Downlight cover

    4) there is no hole in the downlight cover for the wires. Can I cut a hole and cover with fire resistant sealant

    5) can I use fire resistant sealant to cover the gaps in the doenlight cover once fitted

Look at the led Lighting sticky.
Get gu10 fittings and fire rated units with insulation cages. Forget about the hoods

Can you recommend any? Excuse my ignorance but do these protect against drafts? Can you insulate over?

Also where do I find the LED sticky
