Hi. I have a Samsung smart tv. I have an aerial in the attic. Do I need a Saorview box as well as the aerial or should the TV pick channels up automatically?

    Model is UE40MU6400

i think that one doesn't need a box

wait for someone else to confirm though

the aerial will need to be a saorview aerial too

Thanks. It’s a Saorview aerial alright. So I should be able to just use a cable from TV to aerial cable?

The spec says it has a T2 tuner, so it should work, if you have an aerial in the attic just plug it in and see, it won't do any harm.

It needs to be a UHF aerial, there's no such thing as a 'Saorview aerial'. It's the frequency range the aerial is designed to pick up that matters, not the content.

    Hi all
Dug out and old Saorview box (Triax TR 112). When I go to scan channels it's asking me for a pin / password? 4 digits. I have no idea what this is.

Would I have to do a factory reset?

    Thanks.

Unless changed, the default PIN is usually 0000.

If that doesn't work, try 1111 or 1234.

    Try 0000

You would possibly need the pin for a factory reset also
