Goodie scries into the wood where he glimpses an old gnarled massive oak tree, on a hill beside it is the entrance to the old cults lair. He cannot see further, but the Dragvil lies within.

OOC: Lair is at 14.12 on Shire map.

Goodie eyes the crystal. A crystal of animation. It can allow an inanimate object to enact a set of simple instructions twice a day.

The village seems to be entirely run by the werewolves now. The remaining survivors are huddled in their houses.

    Homeward Bound:
Goodie and Ekbard pass easily enough through the shire. The minor hills and soft paths mean it only takes two hours to reach the Blight mountains.

Even then, these are the southern mountains, the snow is thinner and the paths more clear. Passing through the mountain valleys is easy enough and nothing dangerous blocks their path.

By about midnight the two of them have reached Goodie's home village. A lynched body hangs from a sign as the rain pelts down, the old manfort in the distance.

    OOC: Very.

Goodie tracks 28 heat signatures through the village. The advantage this gives him combined with his race's natural stealth allows him to get to the man fort easily.

As he stands at the entrance way he remembers all the times he played here as a kid. Little to fear within, the fort was raided by adventurers some years back and all the old Mage's monsters are long slain.

Ekbard can sense two evil presences from the house on their right at the entrance to the village.

Goodie approaches the group slowly, but a group of eight werewolves prowl between him and the group.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

The werewolves leap at the group as the halflings prepare their bows. Before they even reach the group, Ekbard leaps over the undead and slices outward, cutting them simultaneously. They drop to the ground dead.

A standard halfling house although the food is long rotted and the furniture ripped apart. Several Halfling bones litter the bedroom.

Ekbard leaves the house again, #13 follows.

Goodie moves from house to house drooping the eight of them like flies. With each fallen pair the other six dart to the source of the sound, the bow audible with their improved hearing, but Goodie is gone by the time they approach. He collects his arrows afterward.

Goodie sees an extra sixteen wolves enter the village for a total of forty four, including a very large one.

A group of twenty werewolves enter the town square and stare at Ekbard.

A werewolf much larger than any of them, the pack alpha, stands at the back.

    "You dare touch my pack?"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

    "Would you now?"

The alpha pushes the others aside and notices the bisected pair.

"Packmates hang back, I fear for many of you should he face you"

He cracks his neck twice before stretching his arms and rising to bipedal stance.

    "Let's dance boy"
