Chelsea the better team. Lukaku and martial did really well for the goal but aside from that and the Sanchez chance we have been very poor in attack.

Given the way they played that’s a good HT Score. I really think the team is bereft of confidence and it’s all about getting through this game!

Chelsea are in form because you don’t play like they did against Barca unless you have some confidence. Barca only drew due to a couple of lucky posts and a dreadful defensive error.

I couldn’t believe how pedestrian united looked at times. No 50/50s or knicking at Chelsea players (until martial just after the equalizer). This is where a passionate player with energy would really help!

In fairness the ball is often played to him when he's surrounded by 2 or 3 defenders. It's either turn and take them on or just pass backwards like almost everyone else.

Pogba wouldn't be on the bench let alone the pitch with an injury, especially a back injury.


There is something else going on, lack of interest or poor form, who knows.

Fairly evenly matched that half but we need a much improved performance in the second half if we are going to win this. Could see Chelsea nicking it other than that

I would say that was a decent first half for us. Chelseas goal came against the run of play and while we have been very slow in possession its easy to see why when Chelsea can so easily cut through our defense like they did for the goal. Think Lukaku has been very good so far and its amazing how much better he looks when he has players nearby to link with. He seems like the perfect guy to play in a front 2 system.

In fairness plenty of players play with those injuries after getting injections..

It probably is just poor form but it looks like he doesn’t have the power in his legs that he usually does.

The most exciting talent seen in a united shirt for years should do better.

Often there not near him he runs towards them and then tries to i'm not exactly sure what he tries to do jump into them.

We should send him out with a pole.

Maybe it's because he hasn't been great the last few games. I think he's been pretty good today bar the jump for the header before the chelsea goal but it looked to me like he was fouled at some point there need to see it from a better angle

Martial is one of the few players who has an actual on-field chemistry with Lukaku. He hasn't been great in the first half, but calls for him to be hooked at half-time are ridiculous.

If Martial is frustrating some fans, Sanchez must be making your head spin. That's two successive league games where he has had good chances in front of goal and couldn't get his feet sorted. Alexis is new and needs time in the team and all that, but Martial isn't the only one out there having a poor game.

Really good. His passing isn't up to scratch, but neither has anybody's in the team.

He doesn't seem to do anything in a hurry. That calming controlled style can be needed at times, but sometimes you'd want a bit more urgency.
