Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I remember when people lost their minds when Mkhitaryan got 3 assists on his debut, crowing about how he was free of Jose at last!

Man, I thought that would make me happy but tbh Arsenal are just so toxic, it's not funny anymore....

    Oh it's very funny.

They have made their bed and are lying in it.

I don't think Wenger will get the boot regardless of how the season goes either.

He will leave on his own terms.

I don’t disagree that the players aren’t trying but you can get rid of the whole squad or the manager.

He’s been living on borrowed time the last couple of seasons and they have gotten worse this year despite no CL football.

That would be a nightmare them winning the title against us

While it wouldn’t be nice, the damage is already done. They have it won. I’d prefer them to take full points off one of our top four competitors than hand them the points so we don’t have to see them winning the title against us.

It’s all well and good saying “if we can’t get top four ourselves we don’t deserve it..” but it’s normal to want you rivals to drop points, especially at this time of the season.

Btw I can understand why you want a draw today and it would be a decent result for Utd I suppose but we have no hope of catching City so I will be hoping for a City win.

While it will no doubt be used as **** material for some, I'd actually like City to utterly demolish Chelsea and let Chelsea's wheels fall off through demoralization....

1st is gone, "Best of the rest" is the game to play now. And in that scenario, the worse Chelsea does today, the better for us.

I’ll actually be disappointed if we don’t finish second this season.

Looking forward to the game anyway. The one just finished was very entertaining.

A city win today and if we beat Palace tomorrow then we are 9 points and at least 8 goals ahead of Chelsea with 9 games remaining.

Should be enough to secure top 4 and id hope we go full throttle for the FA cup.

2nd / 3rd place finish and the trophy would be a satisfactory season.

Yeah, I would too. The pessimist in me worries Pool could pip us to it though. 3rd, after being second for so long, would be a disappointment. Still a step forward from where we have been but not as big a one as I'd have liked.

The Arsenal boom bust cycle has more ups and downs than a rollercoaster. Looking at AFTV they were expecting to lose today.

    Odd.

Usually I'd agree with this sentiment but there's too much at stake to be concerned with whether we deserve a top 4 spot or not.

Not qualifying would be a disaster and a Chelsea win today could mean that a bit of bad luck could make all the difference come the final day of the season.

Watching on NBCSN. The lads in commentary seem to be deriving some kind of sexual pleasure every time City attack.
I’d actually like Chelsea to score on the break to hear the disappointment.

Palace are useless, no zaha or fosu mensah for them either, we should be beating them by 2 or 3 goals

Funny, Jamie and souness seem to be not critical of Chelsea for playing the tactic we do and saying they feel sorry for hazard with the balls being launched up to him, when it was lukaku it was a free for all to criticize him

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

I've Sky on,they seem to have hypnotized our Gary too.

Chelsea are allowing them the full use of the pitch, I’ve seen City play a lot better than this. The 2 lads would have you believe this type of football has never been seen before. They’re definitely touching themselves.

So are Newcastle and we couldn't score against them.

Palace at home are a tough team to break down.

We have the players that should be beating them but in alot of games over the last few months I've had an air of pessimism about them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Man City are so far ahead its unreal , The ease they have controlled Chelsea , Ok they where beat at old Trafford but it could have gone either way , City are in full control for 50 minutes so far

For all the abuse Mourihno gets, Conte should get double.

Playing a 541 with Hazard as the 1......disgraceful anti football but you won't hear that being said.

I do believe you said more or less the same before the Newcastle game.

Both of which are correct though both teams have managers who live to set up to try and nullify a better team at home.

    Stranger things happen

Maybe because hazard is 5''6 and lukaku is a beast of a man?

I backed the draw, can’t watch it but I take it Chelsea have no chance of scoring?

I think the thing is though you don't really associate United with that kind of football unless its heavily superior opposition. Chelsea, rightly or wrongly, have a reputation of being that kind of team in the past decade. Hence why Jose get's it much heavier at United.

They could. 60 minutes, no shots on target.

    Unlikely.

Seen it being said in the Gen PL thread that it was the first time in a decade that Chelsea didn’t have a shot in the first half..

It’s so easy for City I’m going for a nap while the wee lad is asleep, and I’ll awake to no surprise whatsoever :D

    Nah I don't think that's it somehow. Hazard ain't 5'6 for a start
