Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nah I don't think that's it somehow. Hazard ain't 5'6 for a start

A quick google says he 5"8. Still a long way off lukaku in both height and size

So it said he wasn't 5'6 then. Thought it might alright, just assumed you may be misrepresenting funnily enough.

Your overarching point is also bollox though. It really doesn't matter what height your striker is if you completely isolate him and knock heavy metal kloppenpasses to him all the time.

You should know that, I suspect you do actually. Also that there may be some other mystical reason for souness and redknapps inconsistency

  • Love to see this game go to a draw

    Red card too please

And what were Chelsea thinking when they got rid of Costa? Stupid move.

Funny, Jamie and souness seem to be not critical of Chelsea for playing the tactic we do and saying they feel sorry for hazard with the balls being launched up to him, when it was lukaku it was a free for all to criticize him
They just said it was a crime against football.

Is there anything more boring than claiming bias from TV pundits? I quite like Souness, more interesting than most of them.

Souness is horrendously biased. Get him analysing a game between two teams he has no bias for or against and he can be quite insightful at times. He let's himself down far too much.

Great result for us and our chase for an automatic CL spot

Have to beat Palace tomorrow now

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has already lost 4 Premier League games with Arsenal. He lost 5 in his entire spell at Manchester United

    Makes sense.

I only realized recently that kane's father was Irish.

Pitty we didn't manage to turn him :)

Does the top 4, CL winners and EL winners not automatically qualify from now on?

We didn't need him for taking corners anyway.

Great news for him and for Utd tbh

He's more likely to get consistent starts with Scotland than he is with chippy choppy England

Have 12 players out injured according to soccerway, that's the type of luck with injuries that can get you relegated.

Yeah his dad is from Galway, have it on good authority that he never had any interest in playing for us. Imagine the difference a player of his ability would do for us though.

I coached two of Kane's cousins here in Galway. One in particularly is very handy but too young to say if he can make it. One's an Arsenal fan and the other is a Spurs fan.

    Galway yeah that's right.

Not sure how I never came across this before.

Yeah it would have been a tough sell.

Would he not thrive on the 10 men behind the ball and drive it as far up the field as possible tactics? ;)

13 hours and no posts in the Utd Superthread?

United don't do easy, or expected.

    We do awkward and annoying.

    I fear every team.

I just hope we stick with the same shape as vs Chelsea.

    Would like to see:

    De Gea
    Valencia-Bailly-Smalling-Shaw
    -McTominay-Matic-Pogba
    Sanchez-Lukaku-Rashford.

Seemingly Martial didn't travel with the squad this morning, but could be making his own way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

    Tomkins
    Kelly
    Cabaye
    Ward
    Sakho
    Zaha
    Sako
    Schlupp
    Dann
    RLC

All down as injured but Kelly and Tompkins could be back for Palace.
We need to be ruthless against them.

I'm really hoping the Chelsea win will have boosted confidence a bit, and the players will see this as a chance to score a couple of goals. Let it be a real confidence booster ahead of the Pool match

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,596 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

And don’t forget the Fosu Monster will have to sit this one out too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

I'm hoping the Chelsea win will be a template for the shape of the team onwards. Jose said he was wanting to play that way anyway for past few weeks so no reason to revert back surely.

Only thing I'd be cautious about is that there is still lots of work to do but it's step in right direction.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

Saw a stat that where a Jose team stands after 12 games is where they finish at the end of the season. That's mad.
Let's not fook it up this season, beat Palace and be braver against Liverpool and win the game instead of being happy with a point.

I think tonight is a certain 3 points Palace are struggling to field a team at the minute

    What's wrong with that ?
Are you 12 ,you can't have a football discussion,
Its pretty much a banker for United , sets up next weekend nicely,

If palace are down players they will park 11 men inside their own half.
From what ive seen from us the last few years wed struggle to break down 11 grannys inside their own half.
