Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Like, swap Shaw for Young and that imo is our strongest and most attacking team possible.

    Pogba, Sanchez, Lingard, Martial, Lukaku.

    This could be beautiful chaos.

Away to a direct rival. Goddamn these defensive managers.

More seriously, a big message sent to Martial here. No more bull****, he has been given the nod in a big game with all the superstars on the field, he has the spot so hopefully he steps it up even further and nails it down.

Hopefully an away performance in a big game that is properly visceral on the counter attack and playing through the likes of Sanchez, Martial and Lingard and not just aimless good to Lukaku for knockdowns

That setup screams to me incisive breakaways, which can be excilerating stuff

    Very excited

**** me. I knew they were all United players, but seeing their names together on a team sheet gives me goosebumps. This could be awesome.

Going to be interesting to see how this goes

I think its a good idea that they have matches on deadline day, means people dont have to watch Jim White

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Be interesting to see if Sanchez starts on the right or behind Lukaku. I’d imagine on the right.

Exciting looking line up but as always I’d be worried about that midfield without the ball.

Pace to burn up top though.

oh wow that team ****ing hell

Really surprised with that lineup regardless of whether it's a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.

Now let's hope it's a line up that actually works as opposed to it being massively unbalanced leaving us wide open at the back.

As I said the other day, if this goes well it could set the tone for how we approach these games for the foreseeable future.

If it doesn't work then it could be an emergency change at half time and back to the drawing board again.

    *fingers crossed*

Possibly the most exciting line up we've had in the last few years. Looking forward to seeing how well it works together. Also imagine this time 12-24 months ago saying Lingard actually deserves to be in that line up. I've been supercritical of him at times but his form in the last couple of months is undroppable.

    Jesse at 10 Sanchez right

Worried about that Pogba - Matic axis.

If Spurs are at it they'll have lots of opportunities on the break.

That's why I think the 433 with lingard deep is much more likely.

Surprised Young is in for Shaw.

So is it a 4231 or a 433 with Lingard as the 3rd deeper player (as I said but was told to shut the fk up and stop being an idiot by every single one of you bitches)

Martial will def start, he was even rested for cup game. In the best form of his career.

    Think we might go..

    Lukaku

    Martial sanchez

    Pogba matic herrera

i never told ya to shut up ;)

wrong about lingard/herrera but close enough

Very disappointed that Shaw has clearly been dropped for Young. Had hoped Shaw had shown enough to be given the spot.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

    Could we see a 4-1-4-1

    Matic holding midfielder

With Pogba and Lingard in the middle of the four ahead of Matic with Martial on the left and Sanchez on the right

Lads this could go absolutely pear shaped lol. I'm genuinely terrified about this game and sadly I'm in the office and very busy so not sure how much I'll see.

Are Utd getting deducted points because Pep didnt sign Mahrez??

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Quite nervous about this. On paper we look incredible and could do major damage but the thought of us not is terrifying.

I still dont like Matic & Pogba together back there.

The was a clause in Sanchez contract that if pep doesn't get a player he wanted we have to pay another hundred thousand a week.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm very excited.

Usually when that happens before a game we end up losing so hopefully tonight will buck the trend.

this is the united line up i wanted, time to stop worrying about the opposition and show them what we got.

spurs have plenty to be worried about our team.

Sanchez, Pogba, Martial, Lukaku, Lingard they have plenty to be worrying about

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Haha, gameplan out the window 11 seconds in.
