Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Craig Pawson to score the winner of a deflected last minute shot from Pogba takes every pool player out of the game. and it rolls into an empty net

And meets Mourinho at the corner flag to celebrate

Such a complete load of bollocks. Keep hitting those home runs Boards.ie.

Without even considering anything else, in pragmatic terms it's the one fixture that needs the safety valve of the team threads for anyone that wants to avoid the ****storm.

and it is written in the charter that Match chat can take place in Superthreads, so WTF are they talking about with regards to the Charter?

No a hope i'm gonna be posting in the match thread.

I checked it today - first post I see is 'Lindelol and Smalloling', not carded, 12 hours later.

    Nah, you're ok.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,690 ✭✭✭ElChe32

I'd rather shít in my hands and clap than go near a United v Liverpool match thread.

The annual feedback thread will allow discussion of this per Beasty's post.

I guess the Nickname rule is also being trialed for removal.

That feedback is end of season right?

The annual feedback thread will allow discussion of this rule, which goes against the charter we have already set out, that we have implemented without discussion or involvement of anyone.

Absolute sh1t show from the Soccer Mods.

Last 4 games between us have been 0-0, 1-1, 0-0, 1-1, so form says another draw and that doesn't overly hurt either side so I can see another dull draw which I would be perfectly fine with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,346 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

    From the Charter:
match discussion may take place in a superthread

soooooo........we are going to close superthreads to force people to use the match threads.

    *SLOW CLAP*.

I was only saying that to try to avoid members here, whom I regard as good posters from getting needless cards.

It is was it is and discussion of it when told not to only risks needless cards.

Discussion wont change it now, but it does appear to be two versions of the charter one of which we can't see, this will probably be addressed eventually.

I just dont see why good posters should be carded for nothing when it really can't be changed at this point.

    OR
This was a cunning plan to unite us AND the Liverpool fans against a shared common annoyance :P

Thats all I'm saying. Wont be back till post match now anyway.

I get that - I will take a card if I have one coming.

I think it is a disgrace to make such a big change, with no discussion and then to also say we can't discuss it until the end of the season.

Of ALL matches, I would also say Man United vs Liverpool is a disaster of one to pick.

I would also say that not discussing it now, and trying to outlaw discussion is a very draconian measure - and I simply can't and won't agree with it. If they want to make such a huge change, they should have the courage to stand by their decision and defend it. But no, they make a change and also act in a very cowardly manner.

I mean really - its written right there in the charter: match discussion is allowed in the SuperThreads. But they try to claim they are doing this as an enforcement of the charter.

    Liars and cowards.

We laugh at RAWK for doing this and now boards is at it.
The usual suspects will push the boundaries and no cards while anyone who retaliates or calls them out gets carded. A huge own goal by mods imo putting the place in lockdown.
Never mind feedback at a later date, this should be discussed ASAP.

I won't discuss this any more as I'll probably get a card.

My view on it is that if the match thread is the only source of discussion, it should be subjected to the same level of modding as the super threads usually would be in terms of winding up and nicknames etc.

Usually match threads are more lenient in this regard, but people looking to genuinely discuss the game are left with nowhere to go with the super threads locked.

Strange decision, with the lack of discussion allowed completely baffling.

2-1 or 1-1. Don't see them beating us at OT. There record there speaks for itself, and that's before you even take into account how much of a fortress Jose has made OT.

Jesus christ only finding out about this match thread / super thread issue now....

Wtf! That thread is going to be an absolute ****ing nightmare tommorrw well ****ing done!

Jesus the only thing keeping the place from going into full meltdown was fact you could stay out of those toxic match threads and chat about the game with similar fans.

as per Beastys post lads. No discussion in here please. No questioning of mods decisions on thread as per charter

Mods don’t see every post of every thread. As soon as it was reported it was dealt with. Dragging a thread off topic to discuss it isn’t productive.

Dave surely if Phil Jones struts on and scores a delight to win the game you may be convinced to come back over for some celebrations.

Just remember the thread opening hours have changed so you may have to wait until after lunch to join in.

Guys, I've took the liberty of opening Beasty's thread if anyone wants to discuss the decision to trial this approach to big match days:https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=106387438#post106387438

I think we can all agree this has been a bit of a cluster**** so I would appreciate if we could move the discussion about this out of the superthreads and over to the above thread so people can stick to discussing football here.

    Thanks.

Why would you be worried if it bothers strangers on the internet?

Because i love you all :)

But seriously theres more things to be worried/upset at in life than an internet forum being down for 90mins

  • I imagine at this stage the way posters are acting on the forum it's more about attacking posters and grudging against posters than an actual game of football

    Sad

We could simple all choose somewhere else to discuss the match - make it permanent for all matches.

    'Jose: 'Sergeant' Lukaku phenomenal'

Fellaini and bailly back. I presume that means bailly starts considering he has been on bench last few gamea
