Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jesus I wouldn't like to see what you had to say if United were more than 2 points a head

Lucky you have all those things that are better or both clubs could be neck and neck :pac:

Really it all means nothing if both clubs finish in the top four if neither win the league.

Reality is all rivals aside both clubs haven't been ''neck and neck'' in a long time.

Neither side are currently good enough to win the league but United fan or not i feel there in a better position going forward as of now whether its two points or ten.

I'd ****ing love a 1-0 win of the same ilk as Utd ending the Invincibles run; Liverpool complaining about being robbed and unfairly treated. Fucking love it.

Hopefully Jurgen threats today like a cup final.......

have a good day lads and ladies hopefully enjoy the game.

A stinky, dour, defensive, bus parking, nick it in the 88th minute for us would be super.

I'd be happy with a point though and move along.

I admire people making predictions. I genuinely don't know what way it could go. They could trash us. We could trash them. Or it could fall anywhere on the spectrum. Excited.

    No Pogba.

Mixed feelings. On one hand it's not the day for people pondering around the midfield. But it's also a day that needs his creativity.

So Fellaini gets thrown in at the deep end after a long lay off?

Is Fellaini starting what's the team news? Mom coming and 2 assists

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,196 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Defence will be utterly important today, I can see Lukaku being well up for doing his job at the other end, Lingard/Rashford hopefully getting one would be sweet to see, it'll either be a goalfest or either team will nick it at the end all talk of a boredraw is madness but seems to be what many pundits are predicting if Fellaini starts he will boss the midfield.

I am hoping to see Shaw start over Young team should be announced in about 1 hour hope DeGea gets Motm.

Offically no, but most sources seem to be running with it. Seen McT out as well.

If pogba is out its a massive blow

If Pogba and McT out then it really is bare bones in midfield.

    Matic Carrick and Lingard?

As poor as pogba has been in recent weeks I'm always bitterly disappointed when he's not playing.

The guy can just pull something extraordinary out of his hole even if he's having a poor game.

    Worrying start to the day.

Matic Fellaini in a mid two seems to be whats going round.

Have Sanchez at #10 then with Rashford and Lingard out wide for pace?

Nothing official from the club yet

Klopp just confirmed Pogba is out.

Klopp just confirmed Pogba is out.

Why is he confirming it before official team sheets are released?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

He was being interviewed by 5live and the interviewer (Juliet Ferrington) asked a question that basically went "there's a rumour that Pogba might be out" which he replied to honestly. She was obviously expecting him to muse about something related to his likely absence.

    Team to play Manchester United:

    Karius,
    Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson,
    Can, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain,
    Mane, Salah, Firmino

Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Solanke

Knew Milner would be in for this one.

It's been confirmed to bein sports an hour ago so its no secret he didn't travel with the squad to the stadium so erm he is out.

Can see it being a 6-0-4 tbh, and the midfield will get bypassed with long balls up to the front four in hopes of a counter...

I wouldnt rate Can/Milner much higher than ours tbh. Still very little between the teams in my eyes.

This match was only ever really gunna be the front 4 of each against the back 4 of the other.

Bein coverage not starting till 12. Stuck with Sky. Disaster

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

Lads I think the midfield is stronger then it would be if it was just pogba and matic so I've no problems with that.

Bailly is back which hopefully will be another plus.

Don't start all the negative BS before it even starts lads.

That team is more than strong enough to get a result.

Assuming they don't start the way they did against palace
