Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What the fúck is Mourinho thinking really?

Going away to Spurs, where a draw would've been a fine result and he plays a fúcking brainless team and formation. We get soundly beaten.

Going away to Newcastle, somewhere he has never won and he plays the same fúcking brainless team and formation and we're very likely to be beaten again.

Wouldn't mind but there was a game in between where the 11 picked played well albeit against a poor side so I don't get why there were so many changes made again

We’re blunt as f*ck up top. Sanchez the only one putting an effort in.

How many the are we going to pass the ball around between the back 4 and back to de gea. No imagination in the defence to get the ball forward

Don't sink time into trying to convince him otherwise, he'stoo far entrenched in his opinions.

When he put his thumb up to say he was fine when asked?

It’s pathetic the way you can’t bring yourself to blame the player in any way.

Playing a midfield 2 against Newcastle is fine

The players are shít, they just don’t seem to have the drive in them, City go out to murder teams, Pogba, Lingard and Martial swanning about. Are they going to win us a league?

You are willfully missing the po8nt completely or have never watched a game of football in your life.

Either way I’m not continuing with this as I’m wasting my time with your (apparent) purposeful nonsense.

Lukaku having to drop to midfield to create something.

Then he should have remembered that he's the manager and overruled him. Pogba was anonymous at best today. Someone here posted earlier that Pogba wouldn't last the first 20 minutes of the game because it was painfully obvious even then how poor and unfit he was. That he wasn't brought off in the first half or at half time or before he was complicit in the goal that we conceded is 100% on Mourinho.

Clear as day he was injured after 10-15min. Even if he said he was ok he clearly was not.

Anyway its been another **** 90mins of football from us and jose is the man behind all of that

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,978 ✭✭✭BenK

I'd be happy to see the back of Smalling. Really don't think he's near good enough. Not the only problem obviously but he's so laboured bringing the ball out from the back and he always seems to have a lapse in concentration in him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,924 ✭✭✭KH25

Valencia was very very lucky there.

No surprise you think it’s 100% on Mourinho and agree with Bangkok.

Do people honestly not understand that players play with minor injuries all the time? For those that don't, have you ever played a season for a team in your life? Ask any amateur, let alone pro and they will tell you that they only feel 100% a handful of games a season

The issue is leaving him on as long as he did.

Injured or not he still pussied out of going for the header which led to the goal.

    Another spineless performance

    Martial should have scored two

Sanchez fluffing an open goal chance

    Pathetic

Shelvey playing like Pogba should have

I'm not a United fan but they haven't been sh*t like some in here seem to think. They've created enough chances to win this easily. Not clinical enough which has been an issue for them at times this year but between the two boxes they've been pretty good.

Two people that get that Mourinho, not Pogba, picks the team, makes the substitutions, and sets out the standards that the players must meet to play for the club.

It was his call to start Pogba, his call to delay subbing him until it was too late, and his call to allow the sh*t performance levels we were getting from Pogba for most of the game.

Agreed 100%. Better team by far losing. Fair play to Newcastle on their effort, but the issue was with finishing the simple chances they got.

Wish we had five or six Ashley Youngs.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Really poor game from the defence. Smalling is a liability, Young continually gave the ball away, and Valencia did nothing but deliver a Big Boot that would have made Kevin Nash proud

Pogba is a 50/50 blame issue between him and Jose. Both should have been able to make the decision independantly.

Martial missing two absolute sitters. Like, utter sitters.

I thought Sanchez worked hard, as did Lukaku. Not saying either had good games. But at least they looked like they cared. A lot of players didn't.

    Lingard was anonymous too.

Really horrid, toxic performance all round. Don't know if I've felt is any about a loss all season tbh.

Might be harsh but I hope Smalling United career is over.

    Constant grabbing at set pieces.
    Poor mistimed tackles
Now added diving to his list of specialities.

Harsh but hopefully it's cheerio Smalling.

We need Bailly and Rojo to stay fit but I would like us to sign a top centre back in the summer.

Pawson gives no time at all after a minute eaten up for a substitution.

    Fair play Newcastle

  • Not going to sugar coat this. And when the time comes I will call it out on Jose.

One of the worst managerial performances of his Utd career so far IMO.

Complete mis-management from his initial team selection and his substitutions.

How he hasn't seen that this midfield 2 thing is not working. It was clear so many times this season it hasn't worked.

Credit to Newcastle but that's embarrassing from us. They haven't won at home since October or something? FFS
We deserve all the slagging today.
