Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just watching the snippets of Joses presser.

Apparently Big Fell wants to stay and the club want him to stay, hopefully a deal can be thrashed out, he has proven time and again to be an important squad player.

Jose also identified midfield as the area we most need to strengthen in the summer.

I'd expect our marquee signing to be in that position.

Also, the sky sports speil about Alexis, "one of the most expensive transfers of the window" he is, even though it was a swap deal with no transfer fee changing hands.

It's feckin gas the spin that's put on it.

Jesus man... don't you know talking about the deal adds another 9m to the deal....

I reckon they will have to add up his wages and add on some tax when they are doing the most expensive transfers list.

If that's the case the VVD transfer is a £125,000,000 transfer.

Laporte will be over £100,000,000, Aubamageng in a similar ball park.

But we are freely spending while everyone else is in the bargain basement.

I see Martin Samuel did an article blaming ffp 2.0 saying poor city had to spend quick before they are curbed that's why they are buying laporte.

Off top of my head is it about 300 million they spent on the back 5 positions in 3 years?

FFP 2.0 is one of the main reasons Barca went for Coutinho this window too apparently. It’s being pushed by Real and Bayern, which is funny in itself as Real will have to replace nearly their whole team..

City will find a way around it by buying players using NYC or Melbourne and loaning them to City as Uefa will have no control over those 2 teams

Off topic slightly but seen an article (could be bull) saying Chelsea have offered a swap deal to Arsenal now too. David Luiz (forgot he was still with them) for Giroud. Can't see it happening but thought it was a bit gas the idea that Chelsea watched and thought "feck it let's try a swap deal with them too".

Can't say I remember many swap deals throughout the years in the PL. Most of them had extra cash, like Andy Cole/Gillespie, Gallas/Ashley Cole, and Matic/Luiz.

Luiz was actually a swap deal with matic initially when he came to Chelsea first and our very own zlatan and Samuel Eto was a swap plus cash deal between Barcelona and inter.

Edit: sorry just seen your matic Luiz example at the end.

If they managed that I'd think they have had an excellent window and would put them back in the race for top four.

It's suicide what pool are doing to be honest.

I think they've already had a great window tbh. Girioud is now surely surplus so that's an interesting deal.

Klopp insinuating that BT influenced the officials to cut the WBA game short, another in a long list of excuses ascto why they lost. I hope he gets a ban cos you can be damn sure that if Jose did it he'd already be up before the FA. Not a peep out of the FA either about Pep ranting at match officials the other day either.
