Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Var said he is offside

    That was an unreal counter.

We hadn't touched the ball in 5 minutes before that.

    Great work Lukaku.

Feed a through ball to Lukaku and he scores.

    Shocking, I know, but true.

    Are they giving it?

21 goals in February is great for a players debut season with us tbh.

    Excellent goal from Lukaku.

Re: offside. Mata's knee was offside so it was correct decision

Not really, the lines should be drawn parallel to both the cut in grass and the penalty box line irrespective of the camera angle.

Not sure if you are serious. I'm done.

Look at the lines of the grass shading at either side of the centre line. They converge from our perspective.
But the penalty box line should appear at the same slight angle then, shouldn’t it?

Almost, depends on the distance from the offside to the penalty box and on the position of the camera too.

You could pass buses through that Huddersfield backline. This is as easy as it gets. Both goals brilliantly finished all the same.

Game management when it's in the second half and away to a good side like United with a lead to protect. We scored in the 3rd minute against Huddersfield, a bit early to drop back and soak up the pressure if that was the intention.

    What would pep do now?

What is wrong with this sentence?

“The offside line should be drawn parallel (from one side of pitch to the other) to the cut in grass and the penalty box line”

Great to see all Lukaku s hard work in previous games paying off for him today.

Guy scores goals no doubting that!

He almost messed it up with two poor touches. He did well though.

Play on the ground, he is very good. Use him as a target man, he isn't half the player.

He is very good when played ground passes and asked to attack players.

He would take off Lukaku and bring on the empty seat from the bench.

Yep, should give him 10-15 minutes.

I don't now where that is from but it should probably include "accounting for perspective of the viewing angle".

Bt just showed the lines again there, the yellow line was clearly converging towards the penalty box line which is correct.

If the tv angle can’t actually determine for sure if a player is onside or off, then offsides should be left to the linesman. When it’s that marginal there should be a benefit to the attacker.

He is really good in the air inside the box but outside he's terrible I just don't understand that and its a reason he frustrates me a little at times

The tv images should actually be flawless if they are properly calibrated to account for the perspective from their position. I'd be interested in finding out more about the set up procedure and if there's any calibration process involved.

The absolute state of your posts regarding our current striker in relation to your posts regarding our previous striker! It's brilliant :)

Lukaku man of the.match but I thought Shaw was fantastic tonight too defensively.

He has been bombarded all evening and not one mistake.

McTominay doesn’t mind throwing his head in does he!

Thought Lindelof was good too, great at driving the ball out from the back.. Smalling on the other hand was all over the shop

    Good to see Baily back

McTominay really is not the answer..... We need to sign a proper midfielder in the summer to compliment Pogba and Matic

Hardly. His first two touches for the 2nd goal were poor, that's why he almost got caught. He did well though as I said.

Smalling had superb game. He won 7 headers, rest of the team combined won 7 headers.

Lukaku scoring two goals when united play with him like he's an actual footballer. Nice to see.

Credit where it's due, he's done well tonight.

Thought everyone did. Loads of 7/10 preformances. Very few above that but a good solid win without too much pressure.

That chant, I laughed. Rigoletto's 'La Donna é Mobile'. It's so simple, but so perfect.

The away fans were unreal, as usual.

Lukaku won 1 header, apart from Smalling won all the headers in the box. He was very good.
