Simple tourist visa for family

Apologies for such an obvious question but there is one thing we're confused about. The FAQ says to use ETA visa @ $20/each. Another in our party said to get a regular visa which is free. We're a family of 4 so trying to do the most obvious visa for a 2 week holiday. Don't know what the difference is between visa options.…

Is a regular visa more hassle but free and the ETA easier but has a charge? Any help much appreciated

Just the free e visitor visa 651 is what you need. Done and dusted in minutes.
