Hello! Next year I will try join the army as a recruit. Anyone any idea of when they will open the competition?

Also this is what will happen (if everything goes right)
    1) send the online application form
    2) be called and pass fitness test
    3) do the psychometric test
    4) do the interview
    5) medical exam and garda vetting
If everything goes right and I have high points I will be in.
How long more or less is gonna take from the moment I send the online application till when I will actually start living the army life?

You actually do a psychometric test at home and then repeat it at the barracks. Garda vetting for me was between the overnight stay and a psychological test, then I had an interview.

No guarantee there's a competition next year but there's probably going to be one Octoberish 2018 and Marchish 2019

Last year I applied in April and guys started training in September
