Looking at getting a new exhaust system for my BMW R nine T, namely the Akrapovič titanium one for it.

Are there any dealers in Ireland that sell Akrapovič? Or would eBay be the way to go?

    Thanks

Is it an R nine T-specific system?

I ordered my the one for my Yahama through a Yamaha dealer, who ordered it from the distributor. IIRC it wasn't significantly more expensive that eBay or whatever, and I wanted them to fit it anyway.

It says it is specific for my bike yeah, I could try a BMW dealer here, Joe Duffy perhaps.

    Thanks

Actually now that I remember it, I think the dealer (Megabikes) ordered it from the Akra distributor, not the Yamaha distributor.

The screen he was showing me had both Yamaha ones and non-Yahama ones, despite them all being for my model.

Be wary...theres a guy on adverts that sells new "Akrapovic" cans ..theyre fake....

I have the high level one and the original double can for my first gen RNineT. Both made by akrapovic.

They sound awesome !! Take a look at bmw-motorrad-bohling.com. Theyre consistently the cheapest for BMW parts.

    3 places to look:

    bmw-motorrad-bohling as d3vil says.

louis.ie (ships from germany but usually cheap enough).

nippynormans.co.uk (can be cheap on stuff, this is where I got my akra can).

Don't go near a dealer for aftermarket parts, you will pay out your hole.

This ^^^, and buy from reputable.

My son bought a fake Akrapovic for his ER6n (he knew it was fake), but the engineering was first class ~ you couldn't tell the difference.

But it cost €50 too lol.

Order reputable and not via ebay is what I'd suggest.

Alot of proper tuning shops have ebay shops with good discounts to be had.

Also look at other makes of exhaust.

Did some looking and the choice now for the R nine T is crazy.

I should have called this thread "Help me pick an exhaust".

Some of the SC Project cans look amazing, and are titanium also. They should fit a set of titanium headers.

Lots of choice out there, why not try to be different from the rest of them.
make your own bike that bit more "unique".:)

Austin racing! Next time I’m buying a can this will be it. Mate has one on an R1 and oh my god the sound is unreal!

You should hear the full inconell system....flame spiting at 5k rpm:D

Combined with the quickshifter on my S1k,its a great system and noise when going through the gears.
Down shifts are just unreal too.
