Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apparently the genre of this is "prepared piano". It sounds like someone who can't play piano randomly banging away.

So the wife has recently returned from a visit to the Emerald Isle.

Team Swiwi is duly replete in tea, fudge and whiskey with an "e". Unfortunately, there was no space for Kelkin peanut butter. Oh well, we'll just have to make another trip back to Ireland. Life is hard.

Am drinking poisonous whisky (with no e) on the train to Edinburgh, so am in no place to judge, but judge I will.

Lads I've 2 tickets for the craft beer festival in Dun Laoghaire which is on tomorrow evening and Saturday. Due to the Catholic Church having no consideration for this and holding stupid communion nonsense I can't go.
Free to a good home. PM...1st in gets them!!

I have a theory that Barry’s is almost universal. But we have a fair few north dubs here so they’re probably all about the Lyons life

    You disgust me.

I would like to advocate for the rest of North Dublin and say we have no association with the above.

    which tea?

Be ready to be judged if she's bought wrong.

On the 4th day God created the animals. And on the 5th day he created Clipper Organic Everyday Tea. It’s not Irish, it’s English but it’s available in Ireland and it’s hands down the Worlds best tea.

At the Purple House event tonight with the Irish management, hosted by Paul Howard (Ross O'Carroll Kelly).

Howard, poking some fun, asks Andy Farrell when he first heard about Owen.

    Simon Easterby cuts across: "Geography".

The oh is from Cork so he buys Barry's.

I usually buy Lyons but couldn't care less to be honest.

That said I drink more Earl Gray and herbal tea than black tea

Is Lyons a North Dublin thing? My North Dublin household's shopping was controlled by my Cork mother so I've always been Barrys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,047 ✭✭✭Bazzo

My mam always has Lyons in the house but I'll happily drink either to be honest...

Going way back wasn't there a Fine Gael/Fianna Fáil link to what you drink? I remember hearing that Fine Gaelers drink Barry's because the family are very active Fine Gael politicians... Sounds dumb but probably plausible enough for Ireland

There's a James Hart discussion going on in the Ireland thread. I find this suggestion even more ridiculous. ;)

Is there anything more annoying than the Americans shouting "in the hole" after every single shot Tiger hits?

There was a lad behind me in Newcastle who did it everytime Farrell made a kick at goal.

I wanted to shove his fleg up his hole. Increasingly so as the game went on

I hate the Eurovision. Have neighbours in, one of whom loves it so we put it on in the background. She really got stuck in. Madonna that is. Ballsy move.

Think Limerick will get a bit of a land this year. Lot of people anointing them already forgetting that KK had them on the ropes last year and Cork collapsed against them in semi.

Fancy Cork to improve a lot and turn them over next week. Munster is such a dogfight that a loss would put them under pressure immediately.

Called it. Wouldn’t shock me if Limerick didn’t get out of Munster this year.
