Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Glen Hansard and The Frames really have an excellent back catalog.

One of the ones where I've been thinking why haven't I been listening to his stuff more!

I like some/alot of Glen's solo stuff and some of the stuff he did in the Swell Season too

Think you might have got that one backwards.

When I was a teenager/early student, I listened to their stuff. He was the torch bearer for student rock/indie music in Ireland for a good while. But a lot of their stuff has aged very badly. It sounds exceptionally dated, I think. I think For The Birds has actually aged decently but anything before that sounds rough as a badger's arse now.

How do you how rough a badgers arse is??

Same way you can accurately describe a Sheep's most intimate textures.

That's actually maybe the most disgusting sentence I've ever written.

    Anyone watch Power?

Was told it was like an American Love Hate. 3 episodes in and I'm not seeing it.

It's awful. So stuffed with clichés it's like a parody of itself.

I watched the first season and thought it was decent bar the wannabe eminem enforcer guy (my mates swear he gets better as it goes on). The missus hated it though so that was that

First 2 episodes contained too much bare male arse for my liking. I'd agree with the whole "cliches" as well. Even mentioned to herself that it is incredibly scripted. I'll probably give up on it to be honest and go back to re- runs of wheeler dealers.

If you haven't discovered it already, you might enjoy Ozark.

Look Venjur, when people see that photo they’ll immediately think swiwi has a thing for red shoes. Would you be so kind as to change to yellow? More my colour and will seem less like a fetish. Cheers.

A fairly innocuous google search produced that image and the last one and they were two of the least disturbing!

Also, the image is photoshopped - I don't think they make suspenders for sheep!

If any of ye think Eir are bad give BT a go some day. Have moved into a new place where the previous tenants had BT broadband, decided to go with them again for ease and BT sport for the rugby. Over 2 weeks later and still no broadband, they assured me there would be no engineer visit needed when I initially set up so I didn't need to arrange it for a day I was off. Activation day passed without a peep from anyone and still no service, after 5 phone calls and a combined total of 2.5-3 hours on hold where the I kept being mysteriously disconnected after eventually getting through they've arranged for an engineer to come out a week today. When I initially asked them for an appointment in the afternoon/on the weekend so I could work it around my hours they told me it'd be October. Getting a bit frustrated, I asked them how I was supposed to get it sorted and they told me to take some annual leave to meet the engineer.

I threatened to cancel the whole order and they just told me to go ahead if I wanted.

Correct answer: Venjur (but be certain in your convictions mon ami) & dregin.

Mookie Blaylock, what can I say? I'm sorry your penis is where your shoulder is, must be awkward.

Diagnosis: Minimally displaced medial clavicle facture

Mode: Self-inflicted (extravagant dive while scoring a try :o)

Treatment: Conservative. 6 weeks to heal. Further 6 weeks to solidify.

No matter what industry you are in, there are basically two types of people:

The people who can forward on an email to someone and expect them to figure out what they are supposed to do by reading down through the email thread.

The people whose juniority forces them to put in a polite greeting, summary of the thread and what needs to be done.
