When I got through at 11 there were tickets available for every match ,every category .
Its the same old story every tournament ,organisers holding back huge amounts of tickets to create hype and sell the hospitality/corporate crap.

Tbf, you were lucky to get in so quickly - I was on it as soon as it went live and almost 8 hours later I still have 28k ahead of me, so I’ll be picking up scraps at best.

Just got in and attached is screenshot of Ireland tickets left. The website is still dodgy regarding availability as the Cat C Japan v Ireland tickets were showing as available but said availability less than selected even at 1 ticket. Managed to get Cat B. Hopefully ye can all get sorted!

Just got in but no tickets available that suit.

I can send on my link for anyone who wants it- if it can be used

    PM if you need it

Got in and got broadly what I wanted, happy days! Now I need to resell the horrendously expensive SF2 Cat A that I had asap.

My second window will probably open in c. an hour so PM if anyone wants that link.

Japan vs Ireland now completely sold out across all categories! The first game to sell out after the final.

Ireland vs Scotland nearly sold out too - only Cat A tickets left.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14 aahern

Have four Cat C tickets to SF2 and looking to sell at face value.

Thought some of the other Japan games would be sold out by now

QF2 is also sold out and has been for a while

I’ve got three Ireland Team packs for the group stages, that unfortunately we cannot attend. Category B, all seats together. Selling face value to make sure a real fan gets to go!

Hello, would be interested in japan and russia games?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2 pwUCD15

Hi, unfortunately the team packs aren't separate tickets for each game but a single pass for the four pool games.

Where are people staying for the Japan v Ireland game?

I’m currently looking at Fukuroi or is there better recommendations?

  • Registered Users Posts: 54 ✭✭Ink Arcade

Selling 3x team tickets for Ireland's 4 group games in the RWC in Japan in September 2019. The tickets are a group team pack ticket that is for all 4 games and cannot be sold separately. Each ticket comes as a lanyard

    3x tickets for:
    IRELAND vs SCOTLAND
    IRELAND vs JAPAN
    IRELAND vs RUSSIA
    IRELAND vs SAMOA

Category D seats. Behind the goalposts for most games.

I will be sitting in the 2 seats beside these tickets at each of the games, so I can help ease any concerns with entry to the games. All 3 tickets are in my name

Selling for face value (incl. booking and delivery fees). c.€50 per game!

Hadn't thought about anything like this until I saw it on the front page of Sky News this morning!!

    https://news.sky.com/story/rugby-fans-heading-to-japan-for-world-cup-warned-about-deadly-brain-infection-11784394

Slightly concerning but surely no need to worry about it if you are only going for 2-3 weeks and mainly staying in cities.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,899 ✭✭✭✭Riskymove

    You can get advice here:

    http://www.travelhealth.ie/Countries/Japan.php

    Nothing essential for entry
    Only Tetanus recommended

The shot is €310 in the tropical medical bureau. Hard to justify that to be honest.

110 per shot - so 220 in the link above

Health is wealth and all that. But yeah have to balance it up. If travelling to cities it should be grand. I'm sure there's cheaper anti mosquito products too

You can’t beat a bit of freaking out when it comes to illness. Japan isn’t even listed here for where most cases occur.

    https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/japanese-encephalitis/causes/

If you are actually worried about it then just put on some insect repellant and long sleeve clothing, insect repellant costs a fiver and save yourself a vaccine which comes with their own risks anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,899 ✭✭✭✭Riskymove

in fairness if you read it through it is only that way as there has been a mass immunisation programme in Japan

so it is still there in rural areas but locals are unlikely to get it...but visitors can

There's tickets available at all levels for all knock-out games now but when you go to add to basket of course there's none there.

Every category available for the final, tried for 1 ticket in each, and it says request exceeds availability. A little annoying. Has anyone had any luck? I wonder what the trick is...

Got an email and text from dHL, 3 batches of tickets due to arrive next Monday. I ordered them in the first public sale in January

Got mine in the front row ballot and they'll be here on Monday.

Has anyone received their tickets via DHL? I got an e-mail and text to say they would be delivered tomorrow however I received an e-mail this morning to say it would be today however they are still showing as been in Shannon. Also the county seems to be missing from my address, I checked my account on the rugby world cup site and that is correct so hopefully they arrive with no hassle

Anyone got a connecting flight through Hong Kong and is slightly worried at this stage that the place could be in full meltdown by then?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

Anyone got a connecting flight through Hong Kong and is slightly worried at this stage that the place could be in full meltdown by then?

I'm booked home via HK with Cathay. But not til day after final. I reckon it will be grand and tbh, it's up to Cathay to re route that thang.

The missus though is flying out on October 16 with Cathay so could be caught in the "crossfire" as it were.

I think connecting flights have been ok as protestors are all landside. So once you’re booked straight through to Japan it should be ok.

I'd be more worried about China invading than the protesters.

Thx for the quick reply. Nope, I opted for printed tickets that were supposed to reach me by mail (just checked my account).

I guess that means I will have to spend some time making calls to the Ticketing Customer Cente....as none of my previous emails were replied to so far. Great....

Have tickets to QF4, assuming Ireland win the Group.

From past experience of world cups, how easy would it be to exchange them for tickets to QF2 if we end up coming second?

Saturday's performance is leaving me very pessimistic.

well the presumption is that other fans ..... in this case Scots I guess (but possibly SA/NZ) would be in similar boat and would be looking to resell/exchange out there

essentially there is 3 weeks between Japan game and QFs to organise something

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 614 ✭✭✭random_banter

We're in the same boat with QF4 and SF2 tickets too. Have always planned on swapping with fans from other countries if the group stages etc. don't go our way.

In any case, getting to attend any SF (if Ireland are in or not) will be a brilliant experience.

I had thought that myself. Reckon I'd be too gutted after a QF loss to go to the SF. Sure we shall see I guess.

Has anyone resold tickets using the official resale site?
On the one hand it asks you to send your ticket to them in Japan at your own expense, but also says

"For any tickets successfully resold that are not returned to the Rugby World Cup 2019 Ticketing Centre , the refund process will be made within 16 days following the relevant match date."

Does that mean there's no need to actually send it to them? I'll get the money anyway after the match? I'd rather not have to queue at the post office and pay god knows how much it'd cost to send a registered letter to Japan.

    Hey,

Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm looking for two tickets to the Japan game, if anyone can be of assistance!

    Thanks,

+1 have 2 spare SF2 and trying to work out the best way to resell on site.
