Our dog is basking in a sunspot in the bark yard but it’s bitterly cold in the shade. Nice bit of drying!

Snow kicking into life down Enniscorthy way. I was watching heavy showers move across Ferns and Sliabh Bui earlier as we got just the edges of them, what was melting earlier is now sticking even on the wet ground.

Just travelled home from Carrigaline to Beal na Bláth. Coming down Donnybrook Hill I could see right across the city to the hill on the Northside. I could see the snow coming over the hill and it was strange! Like an army marching over the hill except here and there groups had broken rank and were charging down the hill in front of the main line. Much the same all the way home, driving in and out of reasonably heavy flurries.

Snow stopped now here at home, a light dusting on the ditches and fields but the sun is back out in patches. Car is reading +0.5 degrees c.

Snowing on and off here in Waterford City the last few hours. Some massive flakes in some of the showers but nothing prolonged enough to allow sticking. Wasn't expecting to see this so soon.
