    Either was I!
    Thanks for letting me know!

If you feel there is anymore songs that the band is trying to surprise us with, be sure to let us know so we can expect them and know if we like them or not in advance!
    Apologies

    I'll edit that

Gives a view of some the sections curtained off. Think Hogan stand starts at 334/333 and Cusack is 303/304

They're closed off because people sitting there would be looking at the back of the stage

I better have a perfect view of the stage for the price I paid for the ticket

I’d say those seats wouldn’t have a view over those who are standing and were probably never sold.

The view from the covered seats in the lower Davin will be obstructed by the sound engineers tower which has not yet been put up in this video and also the PA/lighting stacks on the pitch.

Although I do agree that more is been curtained off than there would at a sold out show.

I hope a good showing come out to see The Stones. Arguably the greatest rock and roll band there has ever been!

For any of the ladies planning on bringing a bag to the gig this showed up on my newsfeed from the Journal : Jim Clarke, Aiken Promotions Event Controller, said: “We want everyone to have a great night in Croke Park in a safe and friendly environment, help us and yourself by travelling light.
If you must bring a bag it needs to be smaller than A5 (11.45cm x 15.25cm or 4.5 in x 6.0in) size -approximately the size of a small book.

I'm not really a bag person, but I have an cross shoulder bag/satchel that I have brought to every gig I've been to for the past 5/6 years,it's bigger that the size listed above, but certainly not a monstrosity, how strict do people here think they'll be......I'm not from Dublin, so there'll be a few bits and pieces I'd like to bring.

They've been harping on about this 'smaller than A4/A5' size bag since the Manchester bombing but I've never seen them actually strictly enforce it. We were at the Hans Zimmer gig in the Point just after that and they were making people with backpacks put them in a locker type set up they had outside. That was the only gig I've ever seen bags being taken off people. Since then it's just the same as it was before, maybe with extra checks. I'll be mightly ****ing pissed if they try take my handbag off me going in. My purse alone is only slightly smaller than A5.

There seems to be a platform for disabled seating which would block the view from the Lower Davin too.

And as any GAA fan will tell you, the lower Davin is the worst seat in the house...

I have purchased Lucky Dip tickets. Have seen The Stones 3 times so no way was I paying the extortionate prices being charged.

That said I hope to get seats with a really good view.

Anyone know the time the tickets can be picked up from? I know that once you pick them up you are escorted into the stadium to prevent reselling of the tickets.

That wont be an issue in Dublin to be honest ,its nowhere near a sell out.
The Box Office is a bit of a walk from the stadium too ,their won't be any escort .
Think I will collect mine early as their could be a nasty queue later.

Anyway as I siad yesterday the ticket sales and crowd size is what it is for Thursday and lots of factors are the reason for this but most of us have been waiting a long time for this and these old lads knw how to rock and will put on a great show.

Have a feeling the offical merch will not be the cheapest and if u want some being a wallet load

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,625 ✭✭✭dasdog

Tickets only arrived for me yesterday too. If it's not packed that's a bonus in my book. I tend to move around a bit until I find a decent spot, which is usually near the sound desk for outdoors.

Many people remember their Landsdowne gig from 2002 and were probably put off stadium gigs for life (it was awful) and no John Frusciante....They'd have sold it out a decade earlier or just about.
