Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sevilla are the very definition of our bogey team, despite there being one simple way to beat them and I think we all know what it is.

    Don't play Moreno.

Reports today that Sessegnon wants to join Liverpool over other clubs if Fulham don't get promoted he wants to play for Klopp.

He could be the cover for the front three I think he now more a winger than a fullback.

He might want it but he probably smashes the British transfer record (transfer between two British clubs) if he leaves despite his age and the fact he plays in the championship.

If he wants to play for Klopp and LFC there shouldn't be a "if Fulham aren't promoted" speel IMO.

He's still a kid if Fulham are promoted he'd be stupid to leave them.,
He's not going to play as many games at a top club as he would with Fulham in the Prem ,

It’s great to have a manager again that so many players want to play for it’s been a long time which in turn starts to make the club a top draw for players.

Come on Juve tonight. Would much rather face them than another match with Spurs.

Aggressive move, but if it intimidates our opponents then I'm all for it.

Could finally have a use for Mignolet and Moreno....

Well they’re often the cause of ruining clean sheets so they should be specialists in that area.

Ox has played in the 6 Champions League campaigns before joining Liverpool and this is the first time he has made the QF's.

    Basle, please.

I'm not sure we want the team that beats City by 5 goals.

I’d quite fancy playing the 2008 Middlesbrough team that beat them 8-1, I think we could do alright there.

Poor ole Mironov to have this hanging over him going forward "After concluding his investigation, the inspector found no evidence to corroborate the allegations, which he believed were made in good faith by Rhian Brewster.

"Therefore, the Uefa control, ethics and disciplinary body, following the recommendation of the inspector, established there was no evidence that would legally support sanctioning Leonid Mironov and thus decided to close the disciplinary proceedings."

What's the British transfer record Van Dyke or Lukaku? He wouldn't be anywhere near that ballpark, surely

Kyle Walker at £50m is the most expensive English player is what I think he means.

Sterling and Stones a close second and third at £49m & £48m.

    Andy Robertson is a gentleman....

We are lucky to have a down to earth footballer like him..

Here is his letter to a kid who donated to the food bank over in Liverpool...

"No one wants the full backs jersey"

I think I have something in my eye...

    He's correct, I'd want Firmino's shirt as well! :D

    Small thing about last night.

When Casillas came out for the 2nd half as he made his way towards the goal, the Kop gave him a fantastic reception. Always been a tradition of applauding away keepers at Anfield, but this was special. :)

That double-barreled surge out of a very tricky defensive situation by Douglas Costa is just the sort of thing Liverpool lack and which Keita will bring.

Looking at Juve I'm not really sure why Can is going there. They have about 5 maybe 6 players who are well past their best now. I can see why they want him alright. He'll bring some youth and energy to them.

Interesting six minutes since you posted that. Juve have been dire, still got to love karma

I saw some write today that they don't think Can is going to Juve and he is happy to let that rumour continue rather than thereal club to come out in the media.

That real club being an English one.

    Tinfoil hat and all.

    Going to City? :p

Spurs are out, doesn’t suit us in the battle for top 4 with them having more rest days but sure it won’t matter where we finish once we lift the trophy in May.

Wouldn't be fearful of Juve at all in the next round. Not sure if that's a great result for us as far as the league goes but great for CL as Spurs along with City were the teams I wanted to avoid!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

SSN had some clown (Hoey?) saying you watch Pepe tonight he won't let City settle for a draw after the first leg result, like Liverpool did last night.

Well he was right I guess.

Would be tough over there but you'd be dissapointed not to beat that Juve side at Anfield. By more than one goal even.

Pity alright that Spurs can just concentrate on league points now. They should manage it. Just have to keep ahead of Chelsea I feel.

Spurs are still in the FA Cup so will have at least one league game rearranged for that

    I actually think the opposite.

Losing games does not benefit sides. It's bad for their confidence and morale.

I think we're better than Spurs this season and well able to handle the games ahead and think we'll finish ahead of them.

That loss will knock Spurs, losing like that on the big boy stage.

This year was a great chance for them to really progress in the CL, now they just have the annual "top 4 cup" to play for - and what is the point of that if you aren't going to grab that competition by the balls the following year? Almost feel some sympathy for them, the saps.

In a Liverpool context, that result slightly weakens the opposition for CL QF and will prick Spurs league form bubble too.

Edit: They also have QF place in FA Cup, to focus on..
