Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A large part of me thinks that the reason there is no decision announced on where he is going is because he will end up going to another PL club, which can't be officially signed in advance (despite the fact that Bayern seem to manage to announce agreements in advance every year in Germany).

No idea where he is going but my only regret is that hes going for free.

Not a fan of his. If he had a contract and we were getting 20 mill for him then I'd be saying great.

Out of all our current regular 10 outfield players I'd say we can afford to lose him fastest.
(not including Lovren in that btw)

Wasn't the wind mental during that game as well though?

I dunno but If he plays well against city this will all blow over anyway.

He always had a stormer against us.

I think Zaha is still a doubt as well - he's another one who could hurt us.

Benteke has been atrocious this season, but of course he has a habit of destroying us - if he actually plays. Though to be honest, I reckon VDV would have him well under control.

Benteke will try to play against Lovren or Matip presumably, like the tactics utd used for Lukaku.

I've been bracing myself for such an eventuality and I reckon it could even be United. The link was reported by the Manchester Evening News in January and it adds up IMO.

He's a combative, strong midfielder, the type that can do well under Mourinho, and moving between big clubs isn't the faux pas in Germany which it is here. Plus, with Carrick going and Herrera clearly not having José's backing, they'll be adding to that area this summer anyway.

Probably just a case of 2+2=5 but I wouldn't be shocked. I'd say he's as likely to be there as City anyway.

I still reckon Juventus is his most likely destination, though.

Also, I think the rules about speaking to clubs are PL specific, hence the reason Bayern tend to get around it in Germany.

    He's going to juventus

Did someone day Zaha is out?

Great news if true, but Benteke has been known to hurt us.

Tbf he’ll ‘score goal wherever he goes’ so he’s probably banging them in in the medical department.

I don't think there's a medical department on Earth that could fix that particular problem. You have to feel sorry for him but I think at this stage he's better off retiring. Pity.

Just saw a Tweet saying under Klopp, Liverpool have only won 3 out of 14 lunchtime games. Now I'm worried.

If we win today we will get top 4. I think its going to be a really difficult game though.

That Palace side look like they'll be dangerous going forward but also crap at the back.

Klopp to take revenge for Huddersfield defeat. 3 1 to the red men

I think the same. One of the trickier fixtures we have left. A win would put us 10 points clear of Chelsea albeit they would have 2 games in hand but I'd always take the points in the bag at this stage.

Henderson, milner & wij. Not the most creative midfield 3.

Lallana is hardly being kept for city game?

A loss is obviously the worst result, but it is reasonably important that we win.

They've got Martin Kelly playing centre half, I'd hope we can exploit that.

They are there on merit, been good recently.
Lallana still has a ways to go to regain the kind of form he showed before he got injured.
Happy enough with the line up.

Palaces first attack in the opening 10 seconds was targeting TAA that going to be the whole game.

    Really hate playing Palace...

30 seconds to mention that game that didn’t cost us the league.

He'll have to rise to the challenge.....no other option with Gomez injured and Clyne not 100%, you'd hope he'll get more help than vs United

City are going to murder us if TAA starts.

    Karuis with a great save.

You'd expect Virgil & hendo to ensure that, indeed.

Trent caught out there a bit again by Zaha.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,480 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Controlled it with hand instinctively

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Liking Karius more and more......Hodgson copying Jose tactics, TAA doesn't look like he learned from those mistakes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Game far too frantic....need to control the ball better

TAA is a major weakness for us that teams are actively targeting.

Zaha is quality though. He has a hard task today and against City if played.
