Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Solanke great chance. Pickford saves.

Decent simple stuff as it so happens.

We should have more bodies in the box, we have that bit of quality with Mane, we're pinging the ball around well enough.

Jesus, what a save that was

    edit: not so much...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Should have two already, just not going for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Where's the defender supposed to disappear to there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Shot was straight at Pickford alright.

Good reactions by Solanke to get a shot off there. Decent save as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Straight at him, i wouldn't be too harsh on Solanke either as it was a snap shot but has to score there.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Solanke feels like a striker who tries to beat the small space the keeper occupies, I'd just roll in calmly into any other part of the goal. Needs to stop trying to beat the keeper and just score. If the goal was 100ft wide he'd be still trying to beat the keeper.

Shot was straight at Pickford alright.

In fairness the ball just bounced back to Solanke and he had very little time to take the shot.

    Wrong pass from Ings there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Limited options but I really though Milner would be rested today. Will have to play 3 games in 6 days now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Good communication there from the captain

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

    So sloppy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Some scrappy passing from both sides.

More important to make the quick pass to keep going forward than getting the perfect ball first time.

Took about 6 touches when two were needed as well.

Ings never impresses when he plays, good guy and heart but I just don't think he is good enough no matter how much we'd like him to be.

    It's pronounced Solanke

As will the defenders, keeper and Mane. Sometimes it's just gotta be done.

    Karius did well there.

Awful nervy out there. Solanke has impressed so far but should have buried that chance.

    Great save!

    Now that's a save!

Thats a cracking save by Karius.

He hasn't had enough of a run in the side to make that call.

Karius up there with Ederson above everyone else.

They are not 32 though. As fit as Milner is.

    Great save by Karius

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Ings is limited to say the least. Injuries haven't helped his mobility or confidence on the ball, of course. I very much doubt he frightens any opposition, unfortunately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Great movement to create the space and what a strike, deserved a goal. Karius was alive to it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

If de gea did that we would be hearing about it for weeks.

    He's a super fit 32, not 52.

Probably still good if he gets a chance in the box but fairly limited elsewhere alright. Injuries can't have helped his mobility.

Has anyone seen Karius in Germany? Is he better than current form or is this it? Really happy with him at the moment as he looks very good in comparison to the shell of the keeper he was.....still would like an upgrade on him but maybe not the priority it once was.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Game passing Ings by, off the pace understandably.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

    Shot notwithstanding, Ginis done well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

I think it would be very harsh to replace Karius this summer, considering the run he has had. He deserves to be number 1 now.

I say that as somebody who thought he was unsaveable as a prospect too.

    Yea, Gini's grand, solid backup.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Surely nobody deserves to watch Everton every week.

One bad game and he'll be destroyed again though, harsh but it'll happen....

Milner played a season at left back and cut inside to cross with his right every time...gets the ball on the right there and cuts in the cross with his left.

Lovely pass from Henderson to pick out Milner.

You don't know that, look at how he's got his confidence back now after a torrid time.

    That shows mental strength.
