Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great result in London if it stays like this

Great result that. I'll never give Joe Hart stick again (maybe).

That should be top 4 wrapped up now.

8 points if you include goal difference and that's only if Chelsea win their game in hand. Fairly confident.

  • Registered Users Posts: 533 ✭✭✭poolboy

Nice little bonus there. Joe Hart for England

Basically means we need 3 more wins to be certain and that's presuming Chelsea win all their remaining games and they have some tricky ones left.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Alonso77

As it stands we need 9 pts from 15 possible remaining.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

It would take a melt down of Liverpool-esque proportions to blow this.

We can do it lads! :p

Eight points now, unless they can overcome the goal difference (good luck with that) so two wins, two draws and even if we lose to Chelsea, we're in.

Be nice to have it confirmed before we go down to the Bridge though.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Gap is still 10. Amazing.
Looking very good, was already 90%, must be 98% now.

Yep, that should be the aim. Could do without the stress.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

4 out of their next five are away from home, and the home game is Liverpool lol

    They're screwed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Among the games Chelsea still have left is

    Southampton A
    Burnley A
    Swansea A
    Liverpool H
    Newcastle A

Very difficult to see them winning all those games.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Alonso77

For a club that only qualified once in 6 yrs before he took over , to qualify 2 yrs on the trot in only his second full season is some achievement by Klopp.

Also one foot in a champs lg semi final - fantastic stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,403 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Chelsea aren't suddenly going to reel off six wins in a row. I reckon it will be mathematically done and dusted by the time we play them.

That said, good for the players to have no worries on that front ahead of Tuesday.

    Top 4 is done.

Hopefully get through Tuesday. Then 2 wins in the PL should guarantee top 4 & then rest players for CL.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

Brilliant result in the Chelsea game. If we get through on Tuesday. Klopp can go all out for the SF now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Chelsea are only 3 points clear of Arsenal....that is some collapse....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Fully expect Hazzard ad Co to down tools and point finger at Conte now. I expect they'll lose next game out of spite.

Great result in the chelsea game, it's not over but it's very close now.

Small bit less pressure going into Tuesday.

Can't see twitter posts on my browser but I'll assume that's City fans and if so there was a link to that a few days back.

In hostile games both teams should arrive together in two black buses with blacked out windows that are identical.

Ah right, serial offenders then. The other (facebook) clip was from a few years ago.

I wonder could Klopp work his magic on Wilshere.

I certainly don't want him, but you'd wonder what some players would have in their locker with the right man in charge.

If we finish fourth and Arsenal win the EL, so we lose our place?

Not really, he'd be picking fights with the youngsters or hosting smoking parties behind the bins at Melwood. Ox_Cham is a physical specimen whereas Wilshire would run Sturridge close for soft tissue ailments. I'm not sure who could really make his wages pay with added value for a team. Hardly a Mourinho type, couldn't run at Klopp speed, City really don't need him and can buy better, Chelsea could under a new manager I suppose, Spurs again like Liverpool would ask too much of his body.

No, we'd have lost it to United (perish the thought!) last year if that was the case.

It’s grand lads, he bought to house for Timo Werner. They’ll house share when Can comes back from Juve after his failed season in Serie A.
