Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why are we playing at such a slow pace

We’re not? Relax boss, early days and early signs are good!

That’s a red for noble all day long

Old fashioned challenged, but these days it's above the ball and could have been a card.

Not even studs showing,he led with his studs, could easily have ended Milner’s season. Reckless.

Probably looked worse in slow motion, Noble didn't really go through Milner from the reply, might have been worst if he did.....hard to know how those challenges go in terms of cards though some times....

I hate watching these games seeing the opposition growing into the game. Ends in frustration an awful lot.

Irish try and Liverpool goal within seconds glorious

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Milner doing the dirty, somewhat illegal blocking off of Adrian. Another goal now would be nice.

Salah teed up perfectly by Robertson and a miss under pressure.

Cresswell put Salah off a little I think.

Should have scored or hit the target, even under pressure.

Mané needed to gamble on that cross.....he's been fairly quiet so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

Mane should have been all over that fantastic cross by TAA who's having another terrific game

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Liverpool forwards are going to have to learn to speculate on the crossed ball.

He’s been a bit on his heels lately Mane. Thought the hat trick would spur him on.

    TAA looks fantastic. Robertson too.

The standing off Arnautovic isn't really working, shouldn't let him have that kind of space.

Can sleeping there allowing Arnie to get the shot off. Solid save from Karius.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,597 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

While I don’t think Karius is good enough for a top 6 team, it’s amazing what a bit of confidence can do for a keeper

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Milner will not be back after half time at this rate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,953 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Should be a red for Zabaleta

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Milner's had a very good first half. Ox I havnt noticed too much

Ox has impressed me. Done the simple things well, keeping the ball flowing.

Poor Milner getting an absolute hacking.

Hes done well lately and was one of the best in Germany a couple of years ago. Maybe he'll prove us all wrong.

Trent baffles me, give him the ball and he looks like a great, composed, PL level fullback, but give him a throw-in or a free kick in his own half and he goes full deer in headlights.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,752 ✭✭✭johnpatrick81

Sturridge would be in intensive care if he got that treatment, but James “the rock” Milner shrugs it off and jogs off the pitch.

    Legend.

Satisfactory first half, the full backs are better than we think, the problem thery have is the none of the front three are darting into the six yard area as it's not really their sort of style. Had Torres those two either side he'd be making hay.

Streaming today makes me understand now why I got Sky Sports back in. Constant freezing of Front Row. Don't know how people stick it all the time.

If anybody wants to PM me a better link I'd appreciate it.

So brave too, getting a beating and he’s still going balls out into every challenge.

Wouldn't be surprised if Milner didn't play the second half, got battered there, honestly a bit shocked the Zabaleta challenge didn't even get a yellow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Adrian tipped it onto the bar for Salahs chance I think? Great save!

    It was a blatant yellow.
Refs should have to explain those decisions.

We could do with stepping it up abit in 2nd half,we don't seem to be at our sharpest up front for some reason

Is it just me, or is the pitch looking dry, slow and bit in poor (by typical standards) in parts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

I think we've done quite well, it gets a bit congested in the final third with little space to play great football tbf. We are still creating a lot and doing well back to front, need to see that dominance turned into better chances and hopefully more goals. Looking good but still a bit to do.
