Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mane is just a bust right now in front of goal.

Didn't he score 3 midweek? He's not as good as last year atm but he's far from a bust.

Mane gets his! Good goal, nice overlap from Robertson

    Sloppy from Karius there.....

Can shouldn't, but we're not the only team that can press; we can lose the ball as well.
Robertson's got to read that as well. Miles out of position.

When we have the ball it’s our full backs’ job to get forward. We had the ball comfortably. Can fvcked up.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Robertson not at fault for that goal at all.

Our full backs have been awesome in attack finally someone read the cross perfectly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

    Loving this width business.

Promising from both full backs, both in what they're offering tactically and the quality of their delivery.

    Oh Mane, mane :D

Suppose Robertson shouldn’t have been attacking there too eh :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Mane is going to finish the season with 20 goals or close to it and we'll all be saying he needs to improve :pac:

    Up to 2nd...

Weren't we 10 points behind Utd at one stage?

Hopefully a few more goals now

What a beautiful team goal. How many passes in that move?!? Built up from the back.

Great to see Robertson get the assist.

    He's been a great signing.

I'm not saying he's directly at fault. But it is a fault. Got to read the situation, not just the instruction.
For the counter there, he waited in the right position, and then bombed on and a good cross.
    That's when you do it.

Yeah but I think the points reset that time united won the league in October

How exactly is he meant to predict that Can is about to have a brain fart?!?

Lallana getting ready.....hopefully he doesn't try and bust up some young lad....

The Scottish co-commentator on CNBC thinks Robertson is the second coming of Christ!

Delighted for Mané. Scoring again after Porto should have him (with the other two already in prime form) brimming with confidence going into the business end of the season.

Where did I say predict? Wait for the right time, cause mistakes can happen.
I don't really have faith in Can. He did that twice in the opening 5mins. It's why I don't really care that he's leaving.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Firmino starting v Porto by the looks of it ;)

    Lallana on.

Only City now have a better GD. This is an added bonus in race for 2nd

    Lallana's man bun is gone.

Anyone with one of those deserves a kick in the chops

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

We don't need someone who'll hug the touchline all the time as a winger. If you've got Milner, AOC, the full backs and either wide forward playing in little triangles you can consistently get in behind teams and make their defensive shape collapse.

Maybe it's just been a question of time getting to sort out partnerships and the young full backs growing in confidence. Hopefully we see more in the coming weeks.

Newcastle first. Go all out there. A break for the starters against Porto, and then Utd.

We had the ball and were attacking, there’s no difference. You’re miles wrong here buddy. I’ll leave it at that. Robertson in no way at fault for their goal. Can mistake. Great by Antonio.

Another yellow card coming for me.

    But it's worth it.

Great performance all round today, nervy 10 mins after the goal, but really took control again from 70 mins onwards. Good day out

Robertson doing his job IMO......i get what you're saying and agree. Should he be that high? No....but thats the instructions and how we play, we've seen it happen a lot by both Robertson and Moreno enough, unfortunate but thats the system.

We had the ball when they had 10 behind the ball, lost it and the FB was out of position.
On the counter, they pressed up, they'd about 4 ahead of the ball when we passed it through them, and went from there.
If you cant see the difference, ok.
You can leave it there if you wish.

Ah now, Moreno? As a winger presumably.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,931 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Moreno on the left of a front three might turn him into the next Bale :pac:

I'm sure today also has a lot to do with West Ham playing with a back 3/5, allows a lot of space on the wings.

Moreno on. Either a red, a bicycle goal, or an OG
