Skies cleared nicely for a few hours here in Waterford City but cloud is building from the West now. Max Temp got to 6.4c but is falling fast. Current data Temp 4.7c DP -2.2c Wetbulb 2.2c
Definitely worrying to see the front so weak but let’s not call it a failure just yet. Hopefully we will see at least a covering.

Glorious afternoon down here, the sun had a bit of actual warmth in it as the wind was down to nothing. Micks website says max of 6.4°C at 15:32.

    Edit, beaten to it! :D

(we should have a different weather forecast here - something like "it'll be about typical for this time of year")

I don't know what it says about this town, or their regard for forecasts, but here in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, I can hear the ice-cream van jingle his way around. I sh*t you not.

We had one quite near by on Saturday. Sure who wouldn't want a 99 with a flake?

The radar looks reasonable to me. The two initial frontal bands of precipitation look to be merging and there are more bands moving in behind. Plus plenty of showers beyond that.

Could be worse. Hopefully the temps are low enough by the time it arrives (Dublin/Kildare border).

    DP -1 °C. That's a huge jump in 30 minutes, from -2.4 at 4 pm.

Dewpoint flying up here in West Clare too!

Temperature down to 4.8c (Down by 1.0c since 4pm), Dewpoint had gotten up to 2.7c , fallen back to 2.3c (Amazing right?)

I think it'll snow in Clare,im in East Clare, I've no way of measuring the temperature until I get through the forest to the car.
But the temperature has dropped significantly and I can see the Shannon estuary from here.

The cloud is getting lower too...

To my untrained eye the front seems to be stalling and merging on the radar, can anyone confirm this?

Unless the temperature drops by a good 3/4c by the time the band moves from West Clare to East, I doubt it, hate to burst your bubble!

Doesn't seem like it to me. Maybe take a few more updates into account?

Very brief event, just two hours according to the most recent taf for Dublin Airport, would be nice if we did get a cm or two here that said :)

My siobhán really ramped it up a bit for the east on RTÉ one just now!

At 4:10 the temps were 7°c in cork city, they are now 4°c so that's a fast drop of 3°c

    TAF's issued.

Knock now has sleet valid from now, despite the falling snow.

Dublin has light snow from 10pm-12am, with a chance of further light snow until 2am.

Sleet possible in Cork from 11pm.
