The radar can be very misleading.
We've had moderate wet snow falling in s cavan here since about 8.30, the heavier stuff before that a.on the radar had only a few light flakes falling.
    Lighter stuff falling now.
Approx 2cm on the car roof, probably under 1cm on the road.

    The bringer of hope:D Thanks

Can you see anything on that radar that suggests that anything will hit after 10pm?

dry fluffy stuff at first. Now a bit smaller and wetter. But cars covered now, about a cm I would say. Lawns and surfaces dusted but not covered yet.

Moderate snow in Dublin 15. Small flakes but a reasonable rate. Cars have a dusting already. Cold brisk wind too. Heavier than I was expecting from reading other posts here

Looks like a lot of shower activity behind, a huge area of them out to sea.

Chances that any will make their way over us into the morning while temps are low enough?

That is me out for the night. Still snizzle for the the past two hours but at best 1 cm on cars and grass. Hope it gets better in the east!

Seems like the precipitation is stopping here (tipp), overall about 1cm on roof of car. I was not expecting much but I'm a little disapointed

Still dry in Balbriggan despite the radar saying otherwise , but a breeze is starting to pick up.
I suspect the eastern edge looks heavier on the radar than reality with snow falling from a high altitude and evaporating before it reaches the ground.
I imagine it will change as it moves across, with more moisture at lower levels and a lower cloud base taking over. Time will tell.

The snow got heavier during the hour in Celbridge. No real coating at all though. No need for the orange ball. Turned slightly wetter now.

Heavy enough here in Virginia. Tiny flakes but about 1cm on the car, road in estate starting to whiten.
